yea, and yet people still dont believe that there exists the "possibility" of other intelligent life.....

each of us is just a small collection of atoms in the grand scheme of things, even less significant than the smallest life form on the planet is to us.....

I don't look at these images and think "I am small", rather "I'm part of something huge and amazing".

I no longer look at these images as "I am small", but "I'm part of something huge and amazing".

So, remember when you feeling, very small and insecure,
How amazingly unlikely is your birth,
And prey there is intelligent life somewhere up there,
Cos there's none at all down here on Earth.
Space is big, I mean really big. You would not belive how mind bogglingly big it is. You might think it's a long down the road to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to space. And so on.

if they all develop at the same "pace" as us, then i believe that there cant be many that didnt develop technologically to a point where they wiped themselves out, which we clearly will do with all the nukes.

Either that, or the ultimate "intelligence test" of the universe will finish off the others. Talking about the asteroids that wipes the planet clean if you dont deflect/destroy them in time. All planets will be subject to those every now and then, so if you evolve to a "reasonable level of intelligence", unless you pass that test, your species wont be going further... and then there is the next test of escaping the planet before your sun goes nova....
