I feel small

So I decided to find out more information on the celestial bodies that are larger than our Sun. Very interesting read, especially about VY Canis Majoris.

i think its selfish not saying theres other life out there somewhere, we are probably tiny compared to what lies out there, we are nothing.

they have been searching for other life for aslong as we can remember, but what happens when we do find life ? I want to leave other life alone tbh.

However we could be the most intelligent and developed civilisation, don't be so quick to trash the human race.

We have only got so far as a species due to communication, imagine what we could learn from a species intelligent to communicate at as high a level as us.

Just shows how we shouldn't stick on this rock forever, it's way too small for the exponential population growth we're getting... Should go at least to Mars asap, and try to develop faster traveling methods. The current resources should be used to acquire more in space...

I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species. I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You move to an area, and you multiply, and multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet, you are a plague, and we are the cure.

I do actually believe that we are a cancer. We do not deserve to be on Earth. If we die out, we had it coming.

Have you checked the population growth charts? In western countries the population barely grows, while other cultures, especially the Muslim population and Africa, have massive population growths compared to us.

Example, population growth in percentage:
1 Maldives 5.57
2 United Arab Emirates 3.83
3 Liberia 3.66
4 Uganda 3.60
5 Kuwait 3.59
6 Yemen 3.46
7 Burundi 3.44
8 Democratic Republic of the Congo 3.24
9 Ethiopia 3.21

Compared to western countries and/or European countries:
120 United States 0.88
121 Canada 0.83
136 France 0.57
141 Netherlands 0.44
146 Monaco 0.38
149 Norway 0.35
150 Switzerland 0.33
151 Portugal 0.31
152 Denmark 0.30
153 United Kingdom 0.28
— European Union 0.11
165 Belgium 0.11
169 Italy -0.02
171 Germany -0.04
172 Poland -0.05
180 Hungary -0.25

If you call humans cancer then countries in the middle east and Africa are the worst cancer of them all, compared to the European cancer anyways.

Just mind boggling, can't imagine anything of the sheer size that we see.

I really want us to get out there more though, and start exploring. We seem to consistently 'look' at stuff and croon over it, but never actually venture much further than our own Moon.

It's so very clearly going to be a case of;

THE EARTH IS FLAT!
hahah no it's not how could anyone of ever thought that?

THE EARTH IS THE CENTRE OF THE UNIVERSE!
hahah no it's not how could anyone of ever thought that?

EARTH HOLDS THE ONLY LIFE TO BE FOUND ANYWHERE!
haha no it doesn't how could anyone of ever thought that?

Yes, our children / grandchildren grand-grand-grand etc etc children will laugh at us one day.

Pretty interesting stats, makes you wonder. I was lumping everyone into the same category, regardless of origin.

We're the species that fostered Hitler, Fritzel, and Abba.

We're of one "species" the Human Species.

But back on topic, it's amazing just breathtaking how big the Universe is. I'd love to be really good at Astro Physics so I could understand the actual realities of space.

Tbh whats the point of exploring the universe if there are people who believe space travel is a waste of effort ? First get some humans onto another actual planet. What's against making a colony on mars, there's ice so with a (nuclear) power source they can produce their own oxygen and fuel (hydrogen)...
