That card will last you yonks mate, enjoy yourself. It kicks out so much horsepower :D

The only mistake you made was that you didn't buy two of them ;)

:)

+1 on both of them :P
superb card. i think it is already the longest i have owned a graphics card and i cant see me changing it till DX11 cards get under way! so well worth it imo. will last u ages

What have you got at the moment? What's your screen size?

Currently building still my monitor will be 22 inch at 1920x1080 not sure if that is wise though i am on a budget with a monitor though.

Might be able to get 24 inch for the right price at 1920x1080 res.

My gpu currently is a 8800 gt which struggles with games i run.

But none of my games struggles!

Just read a review of this card,And it looks great lol..in some games it's like double FPS lol .
350 pound is to much for me at the moment,So hopefully my 8800GT will last at least another year!

I ran fear at that res and my system got slow downs in some areas card was abit borked though, i crave serious peformance which is why i splashed the cash, oblivion didnt seem to run well on it either.

I actually counciled my order and have gone with the asus 4870 x2 tricool managed to get it for 300 plus shipping with a lot warranty left on it

Nice one - I had a 4870X2 running games at 1920x1200 and it absolutely flew. I was so chuffed that I could finally play Crysis the way nature intended :D

It's expensive but it's a great piece of engineering, and much, much faster than your 8800GT :)

What happened to yours? 280 is a step down.

Yeah it was a great card but I just didn't need the power. Crysis is the only game that really needs it and I've completed that and Warhead twice now. The X2 also gets pretty hot and noisy, and with an i7 upgrade on the way, it was time to save the pennies.
