Advance screenings start tomorrow, anyone else planning on seeing this?

Loved this dude in King of Queens and from the trailer, it looks like an average film but with a few laughs in which, tbh, is what I think the cinema is all about. :p

I get the nasty feeling the movie is the trailer - no more funny bits to be found outside of the trailer probably. But you never know I could be wrong but with this sort of film I doubt it. Won't be a cinema visit for sure though.

Looks a bit crappy to me - wouldn't make an effort to go see it, probably a renter or something to pick up when its on special.

ahahahaha a film about an american mall lol lol lol lol and and and and a cop lol lol lol lol lol

Why do the yanks put out this crap? We don't have cops or malls in this country :/

Well, they do in theirs - doesn't mean it shouldn't get released over here - and we do have those things under different names in this country.

This got slated by critics in the US but people still went to see it so i'd assume it does something right...

Exactly, police and shopping centres....totally different things....

It did quite well at the box office. Im sure it will be good for low brow laughs, which is what these sorts of films are essentially about.

Bit dubious on this chain of reasoning, Westlife managed something like nine number ones in a row, that didn't make them good, it just means they were marketed slickly and people would buy their records almost irrespective of the merits.

I could have course be very wrong and it is a masterpiece of subtle and incisive humour but from the little I know of it I'd expect 90 minutes odd of fat jokes that were past their sell by date years ago.

Watched this due to finding the clips amusing but the actual film was terrible. I began to look forward to the end.

I've seen it, and it's actually not as bad as you'd think. Yes, it's bad, but it doesn't stick to fat jokes, it goes a little beyond that.

Still not worth paying to see though lol.

Just as poor marketing and reviews may not make this film bad :). Westlife also had a large fanbase and generally received good reviews from publications.

I however would expect the same as you. The film doesn't look amazing but I have gone into a film before expecting rubbish and left the cinema pleasantly surprised.
