BMW Audio what are you using?

So what's the solution if you want to add a killer system to a new M3 convertable?

If you have a BMW with a basic HU / amp, you can upgrade to some of the BMW options that are retro fittable. Though it will cost and you may need to take the car to a dealer for a re-code.

I have a Business HU and basic amp in my new 120D, we are looking at fitting the Pro HU and Alpine amp w/ uprated midrange and tweeters. Depends on cost whether we go ahead.

For upgrade options dig around on here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/ then go bother a dealer.

The newer idrive has a bigger screen, a built in hard drive, better quality satnav maps and the ability to save music onto the HDD among other things.

Ah, bums.. I want that. I've been playing with the I-Drive in the post-facelift models, but intending to buy pre-facelift. Might reconsider... I <3 OEM, I hate hard work.

PS: Jealous. Very, jealous.

PPS: Please don't conform to the stereotype M3 driver :( Cockometer pending...

You are going to bring a 'Convertable' and cover it in bling?

Must... not... stereotype.. :p

Just make sure it has the upgraded audio and it'll be fine.

LOL sorry bought my spelling is rubbish.

I don't think the AC Schnitzer has that much bling to it. It's quite subtle as far as after market mods go and doesn't stand out to much, though stands out just enough if you know what I mean ;) It's definitely not the stuff of max power anyway.

Good god man, why does a M3 need modding or any cosmetic 'enhancement' to stand out?

You don't make something subtle by adding "subtle bits of plastic" to it.
