Looks like i've already made £32.5m+26.5m from players, more to come too!

A 22yo MC i signed, has already got a description of 'World Class Midfielder' Normally happens late 20's early 30's!

I do that a lot too, buy in many youngsters for <2M from Spain, Italy and South America. Then I keep them a few seasons and see how they develop and either sell them on for a decent profit(usually3-4million each) or I keep them and impliment them in my team. can be a loss in money early on but after a few seasons money starts flowing in pretty well.

Yeah i generally do, but he asked to leave, so let him go.

Gonna replace the older players in my squad this season, hopefully. Some of the signings last season (the Italian ones, anyway) will move up hopefully!
 
Well i have spent this season (although i did sign him last season, set for next window - in U20's).

Received £144m!!!

Capelli - 7.5m - 8.25m
Balkarov - 7m - 33m

Balkarov is the one i was unsure as to sell. Milan bid £20m, and i put £33m as a high price, they bid so i had to accept really!

Next season these will need replacing, or just youngsters behind those already in the squad;

Then got three who are 30, one 29 (who i will sell later)..

Don't wanna spend too much, if i do it's on an Italian GK and a DL, most likely. Perhaps a DC. Average squad age is 23, which is OK.

Ah well time to start this season :p

Beaten Juve (Euro Super Cup) and Inter (Super Cup) already, but getting 5 yellows in 2 games :(
 
Determined to do with FM09 what i have failed to do in every previous version of the game.

Take Yeovil Town to the Top :D

I have never made a success of playing as a top team but have found great success takeing lower league teams with a bit of cash to the top, and decent success with unfancied top flight teams.

Yeovil Town are my home team but i hardly ever make it to the end of the first season with out getting the sack :(
But this year i am looking at very different and although very early in my 1st season things are not looking to bad.

My expectations for the season, Avoid the drop, The board give me 10k to spend, the would have only given me 16k if i said i would win the league :eek:

But after replacing most of the back room staff, my 2 scouts (yes thats all they will give me) are working 24/7, my assistant manager is actually recommending targets i can go after rather than players valued at 250k as i seemed to have previoously.

5 players in, 4 costing £0, 1 costing £3k
2 players out, 1 for £5k, 1 for £7k
£800 per week over wage budget, not to bad for a few months (wage budget is £21k per week)

Adopted a formation found in this thread (Man city - sorry dont remember whos it was) and its doing me good so far, not going to win the league but i dont think the drop is a worry either.
Slowly tweaking it to fit my players.

The one big problem i do have is that a lot of the original players in the squad have contracts starting June 08, so trying to sell them in July/August 08 just is not working, they dont want to go so no one wants to bid,
They are drainging about a 1/4 of my wage budget, some play positions i just dont need, some just are not good enough.
I could offer them termination but thats going to cost.

I wish i had some of the money some of you are spending season after season, im not sure if i am every going to be able to find the funds to really make Yeovil a top team, but im going to give it my best shot.

Whats the chance of the club every beeing taken over with loads of cash if my current chairman says he never wants to leave?

Also if i bring in a play that does not speak english will he learn?
 
I did once have 4 games in 7 days, but I have never had one game the day after another. I usually get crap like that when I leave my assistant to set up friendlies for me pre-season.
