Spec me a House Plant!

I want to add a bit of colour to my bedroom with something that is preferably low maintenance and easy on the eye.

The room never gets very warm, except in a good summer, but even then it gets little direct sunlight. So any recommendations? Cactus? Peace lily??

Enlighten me please

I've killed many a cactus

The only thing I seem to be able to grow are herbs. Try try some of them.

I've got quite a few plants in my room.. Have had a couple Amaryllis, these are very easy to look after and grow into a nice large flower. I've also got a Begonia which seems pretty much indestructable, not as large as the Amaryllis but still quite easy to look after and flowers lots!

daffodils? I got one atm, got it from the grass outside my bike shed

stuck it in some water, should live a day or two

Aloe Vera..... seriously low maintenance and they grow huge and look cool.

I've got one of those too.. Mines grown huge! Needs taming!

Also handy for if you burn yourself, cut one of the bits off and it will ease the burn.

Perhaps you could consider a Spider Plant. It releases oxygen at night, so it should aid your quality of sleep.

peace lily will last ages but will very rarely re-flower once had one flush of flowers

for your situation just stick with a cactus and then a few foliage/fern type plants
