What clothes are cool?

Topman best fit for t-shirts? Sure, if you're anorexic or have women's shoulders.

The only t-shirts that fit well from Topman/Burton (Burton is better for fit) are the cheap 3 for £10 ones.

They seem to be much better fits these days, but for a long time they were absolutely pathetic.

So Topman t-shirts only used to fit you if you had something wrong with you?

No, the cut they used to use was terrible. A large t-shirt now fits quite well, whereas for quite some time a large t-shirt was too tight in the arms and short on the back - I'm average build, 6.1" ish and about 12 stone. There is nothing wrong with me. If I tried to buy an XL t-shirt it would hang off me like a used rag. The sizes for quite some time were heavily in favour of people with the skeletal structure of a small child.

I disagree because I'm 5'11", was 12 stone, and didn't have any problems with them. And I'd be a fairly polar opposite to a small child.

On the other hand, "AllSaints" looks like "GhostWear". The Beachwear section made me laugh because the models look like they've never seen the sun. :D

There you go then, you had those valuable inches which I was not afforded. For far too long a L t-shirt would be half way up my back rather than being where it should. Possibly because I do have very broad shoulders - but this only proves my point. Topman are just far too inconsistant with their sizing for me to ever feel comfortable with them.

For instance, a L cheap t-shirt I have from there at the moment is one of the best fitting shirts I own. Regardless, I have noticed it and so have many others I've spoken to: those with smaller backs, thin arms or 'petite' frames are better geared towards topman's clothes. The fashion is aimed at the very thin rather than the standard bloke with any mass or structure.

You would not for example, find someone like FF managing to wear Topman attire comfortably.

To be fair I've not seen anything in Top Shop that I'd ever really want to wear; it's all bright colours and tight fits. Esprit does nice stuff quite often, although it's expensive, and AllSaints stuff is great but costs a bomb.

Stuff in Topman really doesn't look the same as AllSaints, have you been in there recently? T-Shirts in particular.

I'm pretty sure that model on the All Saints site has done work for Topman too. :p

I'm aware that Topman is supremely terrible, I know - I work there! All Saints is over priced garbage for the skinny feeble though. I own 3 pairs of jeans from All Saints, all of which reveal far too much!

Again, if you're after well priced, good products, go to Zara imo.

Zara does also do some nice stuff! Forgot about them. Jeans never seem to fit me very well though, River Island are about the only place I've found that are nice and now I've lost a bit more weight even those are going off :/

omg i feel so uncool now days :|

I am a M in everything but preffer my chloths baggy :)

I don't wear a tshirt smaller then XL or larger then XXXL :P LMAO

My jeans are all a size to big. and even with the Jogging bottoms i got XL

I do skateboard so it might explain it ;).

but then again the "skateboard fashion is rather tight now"

Im stuck in the 90s and i was only born in 1988.

Gosh i am uncool.

I do wear fitted hats tho :|

and trainers that fit.

i can't stand fashion :D

You're 2??

He's got great at this whole computer lark for his age hasn't he? they grow up so fast these days.

Anyway, on topic, I begrudge buying clothes, they always seem so bloody expensive to me. £20 for a T-shirt, £45 for a pair of trousers etc. It just feels like I'm getting ripped off for a bit of fabric always.

I do appreciate a nice coat though..... :D
