Average according govenment stats is something like $62,000aud a year i think.

If i can clear after tax $1000($52,000aud a year) a week with normal hours or a job a like then ill be happy.

Either way, At the moment i am still the highest paid out of the people i went to school with and i dropped out after grade 10 :D

I build & test professional loud speakers...Yet my wage is poor :(...few grand over 10k basically =/

Got made redundant last year, so this is better than nothing at the moment...Even though half my wage is going on the hours drive there and hours drive back everyday :p
Well it may not be the best wage ever but it does sound like quite an interesting job to me. I build speakers as a bit of a hobby you see.

Was it at Carlsboro as I know they nearly went bust recently?

If you were to build some good pro speakers and buy a few amps you could make a living hiring them and and being the engineer for event...

Mechanical Engineer in London.

Earn enough to keep me happy for the time being, but will be pushing for promotions asap after I'm off the Grad scheme, then push towards chartership. From then on, whos knows :)

How close are you to chartership? It's a minimum length of employment experience required right?

Yeah it sounds interesting....But you know, once you install 30 tweaters and 30 base units into a cab one after the other all laid out in one go...it get's repetitive :p

And I've only been there just over a month! ;)

Carlsboro? Nope :) I was a server and projects engineer in my previous job...So this new job is completely different to what I'm used to.

I 'could' buy some of the speakers...However I do not have several k just waiting around in my bank account :p It's expensive kit, quite funny really.

I'm technically unemployed for 4 days as I've just left my previous position and am starting somewhere new Tuesday. Network Architect for a fairly well known international hosting company, more than the average pay for the role. What recession?

Pipex? :p

No, I've had enough of the ISP area at the moment, enough time in the last year spent designing solutions for 21CN broadband on next to no budget.

I've just left an ISP for this job which is a specialist hosting company, mainly in UK, europe and the US. No names though as my role is somewhat sensitive due to their customer list.

Hehe, don't blame you :) It was merely a stab in the dark as I've been involved with them theoretically ;)

hope it all goes well.

Per annum- £25k as a Desktop engineer (full time 37.5hrs pw), £6k as a helpdesk monkey (part time /20hrs pw) and about £4k as a landlord.

I work my arse off basically... and I'm still a pauper because of being stupid when I was younger.. :(
