Meet Lirael

lirael.jpg

She's a 13 week old Maine **** kitten, and she's adorable.

We picked her up on Tuesday, and since then she's been finding her feet here and making herself comfortable.

She came from a breeder in North Devon, and has a very good pedigree (both her parents are champions), but the best thing is her temprament, she is really gentle and friendly, and either wants to play or sit with either me or my wife and chill. I know there are other cat people on here, hence why I thought I'd post her picture to introduce her :)

What a lovely cat Dolph. Here's to hoping she doesn't scratch up your LPs and sofas when you're not looking. :p

Hi there,

Maine Coons are awesome... mad props to ye!

How much did she cost?

She cost us £400 as a non-breeder (if we'd wanted a breeding cat it would have been double that), which is fine for us as she's a pet, we don't have te time or the space to get into cat breeding.

Nice looking puss, Maine Coons look really cool.

How do you pronounce her name?

Pretty much as written Lir-a-el. She's named after a character in a book written by Garth Nix.

Do they get really really big or something?

Googled "Maine ****" and there are pics of huge ones!

Yeah, they grow to about the size of the smaller end of medium dogs, and don't stop growing until they are around 4 years old.

She's already big for a 13 week kitten, and has decided she likes to play fetch...

Sabriel, Lirael and Abhorsen are awesome books.. I read them a few months back and hated finishing them all :p

Now you just need to get a disreputable dog :D

Cats are great pets, not too much work but enjoyable all the same. Hope you get some good entertainment from her!

:p

Ohh, on a serious note, is it healthy to keep a car indoors for the entirity of it's life? Reason I ask is I live in a flat and we want a cat but we don't want it jumping out of the 3rd floor balcony!
