If it's a cable operated clutch rather than a hydraulic one ( sorry, I'm not that well up on info about the CBR600F ) the first thing I would do would be to lubricate the cable.

There are a few ways to do this but the cheapest and easiest way is to get a small plastic bag ( one of those smallish resealable food bags is ideal ) and a thick elastic band.

Undo the clutch cable from the lever on the bars and cut or poke a small hole in the plastic bag at the bottom. Push the cable through, "nipple" first and then wrap the elastic band around the cable inside the bag around the outer plastic cable sheeth so it forms a seal. Pour oil of your choice into the top of the bag and work out a way to suspend the bag on the bars so the oil doesn't pour out. Leave overnight for best results.

If it is just a case of a "dry" clutch cable, you will be amazed at the difference carrying out the above procedure makes to the clutch lever feel.

Oh....and congrats on the ride.....nice looking Hurricane. :)

Thanks for the advise. The clutch feels smooth so I think it is lubed ok. Some one else said it might have stiffer then normal springs. I have changed the position of it and it seems a bit less painful. Might try a pazzo lever or similar type of thing.

Loving the new bike so far :D.

Ive got one myself, not matt though, good fit for me too. I think I like yours better than mine!

Just had my Power commander setup with a custom map at JHS racing, not bad for a bike with nearly 20k on the clocks :p

129.48bhp back wheel
56.69 Torque

Up from
123 and 53 torque

Can definatelly notice the difference with the extra torque! and its sooo much smoother.
And hearing the Quill at full power was awesome :D
Cant wait to get on track now :D less than 2 weeks!!

Thats exactly the bike I had as my first "big" & new bike back in 1998....does its registration include the numbers 918 and letter R per chance as although I seriously doubt my old CBR600FW looks as clean as that now,you never know? :p

whats with the little mercedes / cnd badges in the ram air intakes lol
