This cannot be for real...

It actually seems to be! That's absolutely mad...

Usually theres a real obvious catch, stolen, missing an engine, cat d etc... But unless the car doesn't exsist at all and it's one of those internet only scams and even then it would be a private seller and not from a dealer

On the website as well: Clicky.

Maybe it's just there to attract attention to the dealer, i.e. like this thread getting loads of hits on their website, and the actual car doesn't really exist? I don't see how or why they could sell it for almost half price. And how did they get their hands on it? Is there a way to buy a brand new unregistered BMW other than from a BMW dealer?

11k in 20 years!

If that was a Mondeo, then I'd be suspicious of the miles, 11k in 20 years, whilst criminal to the mind of a petrol head, is probably about right for an F40 thats probably spent most of its life under a dust sheet.

I know of a guy who used to own a Local BMW dealer, With the proceeds of the sale of the dealer, he bought a 1990 Ferrari Testarossa that to this day has done less miles than that in nearly 20 years!

This is genuine, however, these are old model (around 2006 iirc) unsold grey imports without a proper BMW warrranty, and obviously being the older car you miss out on the facelift styling and efficient dynamics etc, considering the amount of time these have been sitting you are probably better off with an approved used 530i or similar......

I would imagine the reason it's so cheap is because its not a true 09 car (unregistered). Its pre LCI for a start making it a best an April / May 07 car.

Personally, I'd stay away, but thats me.

What effect would sitting there unused for years have on the car? Would a good service sort it or could it cause other problems?

That SE rear bumper is just no after you've seen the SPort rear bumper which is chunky and MEAN looking!

Would this be bad for the car? Even if this is an old pre facelift model from SA does it not equal an amazing deal and good value for money? A brand new 5 for 1 series money?
