321bhp VXR Goes Toe-To-Toe With Audi

My bro has this Insignia 2.0litre diesel.
I think Its freaking amazing car and also beautiful.
its 7.2secs 0-62mph but my brother has managed 6.9secs.

So let me get this straight, you are basically saying that a 2.0 litre diesel Insignia can get from 0-62mph in about the same time as a 220bhp 3 litre V6 Mondeo ST220 ? ....ok

And as for beautiful, well that's a mighty strong word, I would say an Aston Martin DB7/DB9 is beautiful ...or a Jaguar E-Type, or a number of earlier Ferrari's and Alfa's ...not really a word I would apply to a Vauxhall saloon car to be honest.

It does look 'interesting' though, I hope they do make it. I must say the centre console looks a bit 'Japanese' ...sort of a Mecca for buttons.

yer Hi azab is in order here.

Is this now the standard greeting for anyone making a stupidly ridiculous claim on the forums?

I quite like it but would I buy it, well no, after owning 2 lemon Vauxhalls (Cavalier (sp?) and Vectra) I think not :)

In real life the care looks stunning. He has it in technical grey i think.

Wonderful car, Vauxhall only did one mistake which was the Vectra, so i forgive them

Yo dude, isit n stuff

I agree with those performance stats, I managed to get my wifes A4 TDi into the 4's the other day so ignore the doubters on here, they know nuffin. Having said that my RS4 is also silver and I might have been in that....but same init.

I've got an Insignia 2.0 SRi CDTi as a hire car, and it is nowhere near as fast as you claim - and lets not forget hire cars are the fastest cars on earth ;). Other than that, it is actually a lot better than I expected.

Admittedly the Sat Nav is ruined by omitting a touch screen in favour of a fiddly scroll wheel system, but the switchgear seems markedly better than the Vectra - although the console layout is a little cumbersome - the front seats are nicely supportive too.

It drives way better than the Vectra, and other than the back seats, awkward boot and rather noisy engine it is pretty much a match for the latest Mondeos.

I had been expecting (and dreading) a 1.6 Citroen Picasso, so getting a delivery mileage Insignia was a bit of a result :)

Ford USA is moving in the right direction and bringing over the decent Euro cars as well.

I thought it had gone the other way and they had dropped things like the mk2 Euro Focus plus the Mondeo and built their own cars on the older platforms?
