Went down the ****er when Matt Morgan stopped appearing on it though.
Yeah. He wasn't gone for good though. He was working in America for a few weeks IIRC so they brought guest co-hosts in.

I agree. He's cringeworthy and creepy. The BBC's job is not to get viewing figures. It's to provide a quality product for those that fund it, quite simply he's a moron probably on a 6 figure salary, me for one things that is outrageous for a brainless, totally unfunny oaf - clearly others think so too.
If his mindless drivel has to continue let the private sector pay for it and not us
To be equally frank, no-one cares. Gilly.Care to tell us what these services are because i cant think of single one. By your crazy logic the bbc should get a rid of programs like Top gear, The Apprentice and F1 because they are all services that the private sector can/want to air and replace them with god knows what, open university courses maybe ?
From its charter:
"The BBC is required by its charter to be free from both political and commercial influence and to answer only to its viewers and listeners". As far as I'm concerned this clearly means the beeb is required to give the listeners, who also happen to be license payers what they want, whether it be light entertainment, educational or factual programs. And in this case its large audience shows people obviously like Moyles. If you don't you can tune into another channel.
You don't know how happy I was to hear that fat ******* **** was going to be taken off the air. I want them to film his big fat smug look dissapear off his face as somebody punches his P45 down his throat.I think you have to respect that there are also millions that HATE him. We're all lisence payers, I personally don't think we should be paying for that fat oaf to be on the air. I think presenters that represent the BBC should have a brain
I'm not suggesting that he doesn'tmy point is that if he's that good and you all want to listen to him WHY NOT HAVE HIM IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR SO I DON'T HAVE TO PAY FOR THAT FAT SLOB.
I think you're not understanding why we pay for the BBC. Quite simply it should provide broadcasting services that the private sector either cannot or will not provide. Examples? OU programming, independent news service etc. It does not exist to pay the salary of over weight idiot - it's that simple
To be quite frank I think your an idiot.
The BBC's remit should be to educate and inform, full stop. And we should fund that. We SHOULD NOT fun that obease excuse for a human being - nor some we fund east ender or any enterainment program - why? Because ITV / Ch4 + blah blah can do that for us, let the them fight over who can get more ratings, let them pay for it NOT ME.
Government servies aren't to enterain - the civil service isn't supposed to be a load of clowns (well they might well be but that's another arguement).

To enrich people's lives with programmes and services that inform, educate and entertain.
Oh the ironing.
Anyway, the BBC does have a duty to entertain. See here:

If you dislike that, perhaps you'd better write them a letter.

Yeah commercial stations are primarily concerned with ratings but that isn't always compatible with providing the viewers with what they want. a lot of the time, commercials considerations get in the way. Its no accident that the beeb has been responsible for great shows such as Top Gear, The office, Attenborough, Little Britain, Red dwarf, Fools and horses, the list on and on.
If it were a commercial station concerns about marketability to advertisers and initial ratings would have killed a lot of these shows before they even got of the ground. And instead the public would get an unending supply of dull American imports and cooking shows.
So yeah, while you may think that the bbc should only "educate and inform",
the bbc has the ability to to create programs that are popular, entertaining and superior to their commercial counter parts so why on earth shouldn't it.
On a personnel note, does calling people names make you feel any bigger?
I would pay more to have Brand back on BBC2 but of course it's people like yourself who think everyone they dislike should not be on the Beeb that caused his resignation.
Vernon filled in not long back whilst fat Chris was up the mountain and it was a pleasure for those few days to turn the radio on to be greeted to tunes !
there are other radio stations, lots of them. i dont understand why people would tune in only complain about the lack of music - listen to a station that plays more music then. surely thats the answer?
