Chris Moyles

I can't stand the unfunny blob, he just isn't funny in the slightest to me. He also seems to be one of those people, like Chris Evans, who has to pay people to be around him and be his friend.

He can be really funny at times but other times I think he gets away with too much, like when he screams at others for no reason.

This 'could' be true though as Chris has been trying to branch out onto TV recently hasn't he?

Scott Mills isn't too bad, but he just seems like he wants to be camp to get along with all the 15 year-old girls and their trends.

"I love you."

ARGGGGH.

It's good to point out that it isn't just Chris that people listen for, it's his team and their chemistry too.

+1

Allthough I think he is brilliant. He makes me laugh but the whole team he's with and how they interact is the funniest.

They won't want for him to go, he gets so many listeners.

Though he's sometimes annoying, a bit self obsessed and obnoctious, he is the only radio presenter I can tolerate and his show is entertaining IMO, with a solid backing team. It's a good job, as Radio 1s music is the pits.

Scott Mills sucks, the only entertaining show of his I've listened to is when he had Mr T on (when I leave work, the radio is still set from the morning when I start the car up).

Chris Moyles is an egotistical half wit, surrounded by a group of hired yes men.

Cheryl Cole should have stapled his face to the peak of Kilimanjaro and left him there.

His show is tired now and a re-vamp needed. I have never really ratedChris Moyles and the only shows I enjoyed were when on ulshaw was on.

That and when he swore on the show but the words were played backwards.

I think you're not understanding why we pay for the BBC. Quite simply it should provide broadcasting services that the private sector either cannot or will not provide. Examples? OU programming, independent news service etc. It does not exist to pay the salary of over weight idiot - it's that simple

Part of it's remit is also to provide entertainment. While you may not like him, lots of other people do and think he is worth paying the licence for. There are plenty of programmes on the BBC that I don't like, does that mean they should also be taken off the air? If so the BBC would show nothing as no one is universally liked.

Riiigggghhhttt so there'd be no news, no wait that's actually something we should pay for.... grow up fella, right now there is NO reason for us to pay millions have dross like East Enders produced, it's that simple

ITV and CH4 have the news. As does pretty much every TV station.

So why are we paying the Beeb to also have a regular news program?

As I said, your logic is flawed.

No mate, you're the one who needs to grow up, with your single-minded opinions.

I for one loath Eastenders, but I know plenty of people do enjoy watching it so I really don't care if some of the license money goes towards it.

As I also said before, just get out of the thread.

Some people in this thread clearly have an attitude problem.

Firstly I do not see what bearing Moyles weight has on his ability as a radio presenter.

The last I heard his was the most popular radio show in the UK with around 8 million listeners. While I'm guessing that mostly everyone here complaining about him aren't part of Radio 1's target demographic, believing that since you pay for a television license somehow you will approve of everything the BBC produces is completely preposterous. If you don't like Radio 1 but feel the BBC owe you entertainment then listen to Radio 2, 3, 4, 5 or your local BBC radio station.

Moyles show is very much talk based and this is clearly very, very popular given his audience. Clearly for this format there needs to be an accompanying panel of staff or studio 'friends' for conversation to take place, this is a very popular format across all entertainment radio broadcasting.

So let me get this right, you want to pay for a program that you know would get produced commercially. You sir a clearly a smart bean

But the BBC do not produce things just for me though do they? Not everyone will like everything they produce. If that was a stipulation of their production teams, then absolutely nothing would get made.

Talking to you is like banging my head against a brick wall...

Speaking of Radio, is there a station that plays nothing but music 24/7 - ie has no talking DJs and so on?

You're not seeing my point, there is NOTHING in the enterainment sphere that the BBC add to that the commercial sector can't. By supporting these lard ass's like Moyles you're supporting all of us throwing money down the drain.

What are you talking about? The next presenter will probably be on the same or more money? By supporting Moyles, how exactly am I supporting the wastage of money when there's other people on the payroll who takes 10x what moyles does.
