I'm saying sack anyone that doesn't contribute to CORE services, Moyles is a fat ass that doesn't nothing. Lets fund those things that the Pri Sector wont pay for, lets fund BBC news NOT some lardy making jokes inthe morning, as much as that might ammuse you thats NOT what we should be paying for
 
Do you have a problem with overweight people? I'm sure there's a few people on this forum who'd have a problem with your stance on them :p

7.3million, that's about 7-8% of the population disagree with you. The bbc isn't just about news and never has been. Suppose they should lose all there sport to sky as well, so you have to pay a separate fee.

Ok, what will we have instead? Some dweeb talking about astro-physics all morning, because what I really need at 7am is someone talking about the big bang when all I want to do is listen to some music.

I don't know what point you are trying to make, what do YOU want then?

Sack everyone and just have the news? Because that is what you are more or less saying? What are the core services that we should be getting then?

Firstly I do not see what bearing Moyles weight has on his ability as a radio presenter.

The last I heard his was the most popular radio show in the UK with around 8 million listeners. While I'm guessing that mostly everyone here complaining about him aren't part of Radio 1's target demographic, believing that since you pay for a television license somehow you will approve of everything the BBC produces is completely preposterous. If you don't like Radio 1 but feel the BBC owe you entertainment then listen to Radio 2, 3, 4, 5 or your local BBC radio station.

Moyles show is very much talk based and this is clearly very, very popular given his audience. Clearly for this format there needs to be an accompanying panel of staff or studio 'friends' for conversation to take place, this is a very popular format across all entertainment radio broadcasting.

well said and i agree whole heartedly. I listen to the radio for 11-12 hours a day in the week and his show is by far my favourite. I hate steve wright on R2 but i know loads of people like him so i avoid R2 between 2 and 5pm. Simple.

Pretty much the main person that needs to grow up around here is you it seems. Like it or not part of the remit of the BBC is also entertainment and as that is always going to be subjective then there are always going to be people that don't like something. The BBC also needs to appeal to all licence fee payers and not just one demographic.
 
I can't stomach Moyles. I find him to be egotistical, self-indulgent and above all mind-numbingly dull. He really is tedious.
 
I didn't used to like him but he's grown on me. His show is the most entertaining on Radio 1 by a bazillion miles.... which isn't such an accolade as they really are the most annoying bunch.

Sarah Cox and her babbling makes me want to smash my car into her studio :D ...and Mills with his "I love you" crap and his sidekick Chappers with his amazingly annoying fake laugh. Pretending he's laughing so hard he can't speak properly.... Arrrrrgggghhhhhh!!!

At least Moyles is entertaining and never fails to raise to a smile, godsend at 6:30am every morning imho.
 
I had to listen to Sara Cox for her entire 3 hour show over the course of my 3 hour journey! As soon as I left my house she came on the radio and I pulled up just as her final song was finishing.

Gutted.
 
I dont listen to radio 1 anymore, the music is dreadful and I cant stand listening to Chris Moyles. I prefer my local bbc cumbria or radio2.
