I'm thinking about buying a messenger kit as i'm tired of trying to type in numbers using the gamepad controls... is it useful, or is it still frustrating with the messenger kit ?

It's Gorgeous & changes the shape of the controller in your hands for the Better. In use it's a dream after struggling along without one. Not to big a hit on batt life either, I wouldn't be without mine.

Also 2 Thumb typing is Well fast. :p

^ Agreed, superb bit of a kit. I have it on my main controller permenantly, very useful for typing out messages or save game names and stuff.

well, it's on it's way, so i'll post a quick review once i've had chance to use it and let others know what i think... at the least it's got to be better than having nothing other than the gamepad for entering text

Give it a few days use before posting a review so you don't get the "new toy syndrome" and rate it too highly because it's new and you paid money for it.

Well iv'e had mine for 4 months now and agree with the others, its a very good bit of kit and couldn't live without it any more, chucked the cheap USB keyboard you suggested back in its box when i got the messenger kit and it isn't coming back out any time soon.

That's fair enough, all I'm saying is an immediate review is pointless.

Ive had mine since day one of launch and i love it...well worth the money as it makes typing messages out so much easier. Unlike a keyboard where you have to pull it out to type a message, the messenger kit sits at the bottom of your controller so give you easy access. It makes the controller a little bit bigger but to me its a small sacrifice.

Dont listen to Kreeeee...he hasnt got a clue about what hes talking about;):p.

i wish it added the feature to start voice chat with people on msn. never understood why they have not done this! :(

Messenger kit is ace, screw having a usb keyboard sitting around the living room.

Well worth the cash!

I've had mine since release date and its fantastic, Beats the pants off a usb keyboard, swapping and changing, Its especially useful in Final Fantasy 11 which I play now and again.

I've had the messenger pad for a couple of days and my initial impression was that it's bulkier that i expected it to be. However, once I played a couple of games I found that I never noticed that it was even there... at least not until it came time to type a msg to someone, and found that the pad was perfect for the short messages that I tend to send.

I realise that it's only a couple of days since it landed, but i figured i'd write a couple of lines before I forgot to ;)
