Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee or Jet Li?

a lot of people here saying "Bruce lee on screen, but what was he capable of doing off screen...."

Bruce Lee was an instructor, aswell as a master of and creator of Jeet Kune Do

Also, The picture of Chuck Norris above lol, Bruce lee instructed Chuck Norris :D

Bruce Lee was too fast for the camera - and that is a fact.

As were Chan and Li in their younger days.

Love these threads. Most people have no clue about martial arts and using cinema as a basis for their real world fighting ability is just plain silly.

I'm working from memory here, but i am sure that i read some interviews with people who knew/trained with Bruce Lee who were unanimous in their comments that pound for pound Bruce was as hard a coffin nail.

In my opinion Bruce Lee would win hands down.

Donny Yen. Ip man for the win. :)

Suppose he's not a choice so Jackie Chan for his police story films and those drunken master films.

How do you know that I have no clue about martial arts. I think you stuck your neck out a bit far there;)

Maybe others were too fast for the cinema, I can believe that. I am simply stating a fact. That's all. I have been interested in Bruce Lee since starting martial arts training when I was twelve. When you consider that Chuck Norris was many times world karate champion it goes to show how a cut above the rest Lee was; observers would notice how red faced Chuck was after a sparring session with Bruce. Lee, on the other hand, made it look like a warm up. Don't get me wrong, there are many other great inspirational martial artists out there. I appreciate that.

Did you read my post? I said 'most' not all. It wasn't directly aimed at you either, hence the new paragraph :)

You were a late starter at 12 :p

if all were aged say 25 and all in there prime ...it would have to be bruce lee...i have no doubt about this whatsoever..having studied the martial arts myself for over 10 years...i say again bruce lee for his ability "out of the movies"

In Lethal Weapon 4, Jet was told to slow down when fighting but yeah i dont think he has the power of Bruce.

I have to agree with a lot of comments about Bruce being overrated. If you look in actual kickboxing/martial arts forums you'l find most dont agree with the hype. In an actual competition with real rules........do i think he'd win against todays fighters ....no i dont.

Without rules (i,e street fighting), anything is possible but then were not talking about that... are we?
