I have recently been exercising doing jump rope. My heart has been going crazy when I start doing doubles (2 spins of rope for every jump) for any length of time. Is it possible for my heart to explode?

I was going to put this in exercise part of the forum but there are other ways to increase your heart rate drastically other than exercise ;)

I hope not, I'm sure I've read your maximum HR should be 220 minus your age, putting mine at about 200, but I've had it up to 206 before  quite often to have it between 180-190 for me if it's been a while between gym visits.

Maybe not blow up but certainly if you over stress your heart it'll give in same with any muscle, being too active could kill you.

You can do it with the five point palm exploding heart technique, but the dude with the long moustache is very selective about who he teaches it to.

According to the gym running machine a few years ago I had mine to 230. (I was 21)

Was sprinting on the jugging machine at about 24kph

No. If anything, your heart working too hard may lead to implosion, as it only works to contract.

Of course neither is a real possibility and you're silly.
