I've been offered the chance to go to Le Mans this year. All I need is a weekend pass to the circuit. Everything else (transport, hotel) are being provided buy a company I do work for.

I've had a quick look at the main sites but can't find a circuit pass only. They all seem to be circuit and camping.

Anyone know the best place to buy these tickets from?

We will be in the speedchills camp. About 50 of us going this year  Should have a fair bit of exotica with us.

I'm heading down with a friend. Luckily working for a company who's based within the circuit means I get VIP passes and accomodation but I have to get into the circuit as they ran out of general entrance tickets.

Either driving down or catching a lift in a friends light aircraft. I know which I'd prefer lol.

You will die in the plane, so definately the car, even if it is a vauxhall!

Lost it's appeal over the last few years this event, not least because of the cars but also because of the nature of the event nowadays. Classic Le Mans next year is what I am looking forward to, I see this event becoming as popular as Goodwood if it continues to grow every other year.

In what way has it lost its appeal to you, Housey? Its just a huge excuse for a weekend ****-up surrounded by mountains of exotica and general car shenanigans. The race is just a bonus in my eyes.

I have to agree in a way with the post above yours Jez. After witnessing some of the behaviour over the last few years, even if i had anything exotic, i wouldnt take it anywhere near le mans. People throwing beer, urine, water etc into peoples cars takes the mickey. I couldnt give 2 figs about my car, as its worth about 50p, but when you see people throwing stuff at lambo's and ferrari's, then thats poor. Usually you get this for refusing to do a burnout or act like a muppet on a friday / saturday.

We all go to see car related shenanigans, but some of the behaviour is becomming so bad, its killing the event. I hope all the immature barstewards stay at home this year.

Oh, i agree that throwing things at cars is poor form. All i saw last year however were supersoakers and water bombs aimed at people who seemed to be playing along going backwards and forwards down the 'strip. None of it seemed in any way malicious.

Do you go to Houx roundabout on a friday night mate? I'll probably have a wonder down there this year. Gave it a miss last year, as the year before we saw some guy on the floor with his leg in bits after a homemade firework hit it!

I will be sure to go down, at least for a while. Didn't last year :) BTW, you are going from the monday? What do you do all week? I think we are heading down on the thursday morning..
