How many steam 'friends'?

I used to run a Day of Defeat clan and had over 120 friends...
Do you have any idea how stressful it is? In the end I just left and the whole thing fell apart.

I know some of the other L4D vets have 250 and have to prune people. I've got over a hundred and no longer add anyone, unless they add me, it's getting difficult to find the people I want to play with. If we could group friends, that would be super duper. It would go something like:

People I play with (3)
Everyone else (101)

i have about 2, and ive had steam since the very start and also have a life

It was really hard choosing between real life and digital friends for me, it's a shame that the two are completely incompatible. I miss my real friends, one day we will all be allowed to have a life and play games online, that is the world I want to live in.

When I play L4D with voice over IP with my mates it's actually more social and a better laugh than being down the pub!

If doing the thing I like most makes me a saddo -- ok -- I'll be a saddo!!

Hit the limit of being able to add new friends, whatever that is (~200) quite recently. Had to delete a load of old contacts that I played with once and never again.

Can't be sure now but its quite high but not as high.

I am with Britboy4321 on this, I do what I enjoy. It's very cheap, reliable, awesome entertainment. If it makes me a lamer for enjoying it more than other activities then so be it!!

I get invites for steam friends, I click accept and then I never bother with it after that, lol. It just doesn't interest me that much.
