Anybody with them?Am thinking of joining as can decent speed with them due to them having ADSL2 or whatever it is.
Was thinking of upping my sky but I know there internet is sometimes slow.

Hmmmm,where I live is maybe a mile from the exchange.Can only get 4meg with sky but with be* I can get 13meg.I'd probably just get the cheapest package and get 8meg which is enough for me.Just wondering if it's actually worth the extra £8 a month.
I'm thinking of gaming and 1.3meg upload is certainly better than what you get with sky.

To be honest if you're only getting 4Mbit with ADSL I wouldn't hold out much hope for getting 13Mbit with ADSL2+

Post your line stats and someone may be able to give you a more clear indication but I'd say that is a bit of an over-estimation, likewise with the upload speed.

copy and paste it in. There should be a table showing your connection data within your router admin panel.

And how would I get to my router admin panel?I'm rubbish at stuff like this!
Plus i'll have to wait til sunday to do it as this possible change of broadband will be for my new house.

13Mbps ADSL2+ from a 4Mbps ADSL line is highly unlikely. I had no problem getting sync at about 7Mbps ADSL and I only get about 8Mbps sync now with ADSL2+ (with Be*). At least I can actually use most of that unlike when I was with PlusNet. Due to my connection and modem I may have got slightly better ADSL and somewhat worse ADSL2+ than normal, but not by that much margin.

If you have BE Unlimited ) in you area I would highly recommend it. I live in the middle of glasgow, 100m from the exchange (I know, i'm a lucky *******). So I get 22.6Mbs on (£17.50p/m +line rental). I download obscene quantities of data and have had no problems. Only had one connection problem, when they were upgrading their network and we were warned. Apart from that, no random cut-outs.

If you go for BE value you get unlimited downloading and 8meg for £13.50/month. Be seems to be in a different league from SKY which my parents have at home.

BTW sky netgear router is either http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1, username : admin , password: sky.

Been with Be* for months now get 14meg down and I'm 2.33km from my exchange, called them the other day to say Sky had offered me a better package and they dropped my monthly cost to £12 per month

Get fastpath enabled along with a 3db profile and you should reach the max which is 24574 kbps.

Who were you with before and what speed did you get before?I'm maybe just under 2km from the exchange so wondering if i'd actually get more than 4meg if I went with them.
