Pretty pleased, took a while to get here but it's here now. Sold my UK 60GB PS3 to a mate. More excited about the demo than anything else really :p

Basically, but it is matt black and not shiny, it can't get any fingerprints. It's a 160GB with DS3. It also comes with an extended and re-rendered version of FFVII movie and playable FFXIII demo.

Including Express Shipping it was $733 which is 501 pounds. There are a few about but most import sites won't ship sony hardware into England. Not sure if I'm allowed to mention the place?

Now I need £500 (I have at least £1 spare in my bank account :p).

That really is awesome and the price doesn't seem too bad having had a quick look at the price of some of the console bundles.

The matt version is the only one I think I could own though, it'd fit well next to the 360, plus I don't like shiny consoles. Drop me an email (either one in trust) if you think you shouldn't mention the place, would be good to have a look. :)

Looks very nice indeed. It's not something I would spend hard earned cash on, but I understand the collector's desire ;):).

Orly? That's cool then!

Why can't you use it for blurays? Every bluray i own is region free, literally only a handful are region protected.

Let us know how the FFXIII trial is... and then post it to me :p
 
Oh, awesome, all I know is that it's a different Blu-Ray region to us but the same DVD region. In that case I can watch UK Blu Rays as well :)


The FFXIII Trial is amazing! I'm sure most people have watched some of the demo footage. The main thing that strikes me is the speed at which the battles load, it's less than a second. Don't think I could handle lost-oddysey style getting into battles! There's a lot more wieght to the combat now as well.
 
Lost Odyssey isn't too bad for loading, but then I'm used to most of the 360's lame speed anyway. :p

It's so tempting to find one of these and buy it, even though I don't have £500 spare. :D

I would like a PS3, but the normal UK one just doesn't look all that good to me.
 
And people say pre-ordering games for early access to demos is crazy. :D

Couldn't you of just imported Advent Children? That comes with the demo as well.
