Windows 7 hits RC stage Build 7100

Is there anyway to install the RC over build 7077, without messing up the bootloader and ruining my dual boot?

I want to do a fresh install.
 
I did a fresh install on my main PC but did upgrade over 7077 on my Acer One and the wifes laptop, both upgraded fine with very few programs causing problems afterwards (only two which installed devices drivers that were overwritten with the upgrade)
 
Installed find over build 7068 to build 7100 downloaded off USENT- Question how do you bring up the About Windows Box ?
 
I remember when going from the 7000 to the 7068, it said id need to remove my catalyst drivers first, as they wouldn't work anymore, and to reinstall them when the upgrade was finished, so this time i removed them first before setting it away, and it didn't even say anything had to be removed, just went off and done it, so i just banged the cats back on when it was finished, painless. :p
 
Just gone straight from 7068 to 7100 - other that reinstalling CATs every thing perfect.

Now to have a play and see what was added (virtual win XP sp3 )
 
Only noticed a couple of fixes so far, when quitting Fear, i don't have to keep pressing the left button on Yes to get the box up with the Wait till it Responds etc... in, it quits normally, and in HL2 Cinematic Mod, i now get the cinematic music in 5.1 as well as the game sounds, where as under 7068, i just had the music coming out of the front ones. :p
 
i keep getting BSOD at install ( just as the orbs fly round and says starting windows)

try the install with barebones prephirals installed , still no luck.

ive gone through every site on google , no success in getting to start setup :(
Ive tried to builds , inc 7077.

anyone else had same or similair issues?


windows 7 is not for me i think.
 
Move yer Taskbar to the bottom, and don't hide it. :D

really doesn't bother me, its only a bit of writing in the corner, jesus whats the matter with you all, it does no harm :/

Edit: Flawless install on the NC10. Installed quickly via a usb stick. Just need to setup the power management lark now.

Hi

I have just purchased a NC10 and tonight installed 7100 on it, Running sweet!

Do you or anyone else have any additional tweaks that should be done to windows 7 to improve performance, I have disabled indexing to help the HDD but are there any other tweaks that would help!

You should defiantly leave indexing on imo.
