Thinking of buying it on pc, i already have a copy on psone but its always in use by my granther. Anyway i can get a copy easy enough i was wondering if its stable on vista. Final Fantasy 7 takes a bit of effort to work on pc, so im wondering if FF8 is more stable.

The game works in Vista although don't expect to run it properly on Hardware Mode unless you enjoy seeing black bars and giltches everywhere. It pretty much has some of the same issues that plagued FFVII PC but compared to it, at least this one works slightly better.

Personally I still wouldn't bother though. Only advantage I see in the PC version is faster loading times or using save game editors and thats it. Music uses the PC's crappy MIDI sound, although you can edit it to sound almost like the PS1 version and there is no rumble pad support.

I've been trying to get into FF X lately using a PS2 disc on my PC. Works fine so far. I used to love these type of games, Secret of Mana was my favourite game on the SNES but these days I just don't have the patience it seems.

I know the feeling well.

Secret of Mana still rocks though :)

works fine on win 7 for me. although you have to use ctrl- alt -del to quit it :p

is best to get a ps2 controler adapeter and use that as the keybord is annoying.

do you ever get a burning desire to play a final fantasy game from start to finish, then play for 5 mins and think.... god i really cant be ***** with it all

i love all final fantasies but every time i pick them back up i get that same feeling. make it stop!

Haha I do this quite often. Games are NEVER as good when you go back and replay them.
RPGs are such story oriented that once you have completed it and know all the events then it isn't as much fun any more.

Although I do last much longer than 5 minutes :p I usually at least last a day or two
