Yeah - I know -.... where have I been for the past year ?

Anyway - does this game live past the hype ? is it really as good as the reviews make out ? I understand it is a game in a similer style to Far Cry 2, which I quickly got bored of (but could have been sooo good !!)

My mouse pointer is hovering over the 'buy' button ... shall I click it ?

You'll get some really mixed opinions in this thread thats for sure.

Above said it's brilliant, I'll tell you I found it boring and repetative, And not as good as previous GTAs.

It's a marmite game, And so you'll have to purchase to see lol

In terms of random missions and an open world, yes.

If you have a xbox 360 or PS3, you should probably also have GTA4. Its that good.

the missions are as fresh as ever.

Not really. There are only a handful of missions that were fresh. Most of the game was just same the missions we have already done in other GTA games, still fun though.

Well that seems more than enough to justify the £15.00 asking price from a certain South American named company...

Ordered.

cheers peeps, should make a welcome diversion from hotlapping in Forza 2 :)

Great game but missing one important ingredient - atmosphere, Vice City had it perfect, San Andreas had a lot of it, but GTA4 is just missing that little something.

Good game overall. Absolutely crap missions, and rubbish characters bar two (Badman and Jacob)The lead character is rather shallow and the city itself, whilst looking great just feels very stale. Great vehicle handling means that you'll enjoy driving around with utterly sod all to do/visit half the time.

Hope you have the 360 as you'll have access to the DLC, which is damn good.

I've decided to give this another shot, Getting back off my friend in an hour, so will load it up and try again, Seriously though, last time I got bored lol
