Hi guys,

I've had a few specs done for me before, my latest 1 was over 6 weeks ago, my friend just did me another spec, more upto date, infact a bit of future proofing too, so he said :P

Tell me what you think people.

Thanks

Bon

you never know. i started off thinking i wouldnt overclock but then i decided to experiment one day and now i will overclock every pc i build for myself. besides D0 is potentially slightly more future proof as it gives him the knowledge that there is a lot of extra cpu power waiting for him when applications start demanding it (provided they are not wanting more cores)

I may well get the D0 then jak :)

so do those parts all go together nicely?

If all is good, then I will probably buy this spec within a week.

PS Do students get discount on Vista? email me the details please, thank you very much! ;)

Is it true that ati cards can carry sound aswell aspicture through its dvi socket, so its going to be a dvi into hdmi cable, which will be connected to the hd telly.....

im told nvidia does not carry sound like ati can above....

either that or i need a card with hdmi out and dvi out.

ATi cards can handle outputting sound by HDMI, by way of a DVI to HDMI dongle usually included with the card.

Nvidia cards can do it as well, but they need to be physically plugged into the motherboard or sound card.

just to add to my last post, do you mean this

amd_2900_xt_1.jpg

with that plug, its 100% true HDMI (with picture and sound)...?

would the Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU be good for me or do i need the 620 / 650 watt Corsair.

If all is good, then i shall buy it this week. The only thing I am going to change is the PSU, Corsair TX 650W PSU is £20 cheaper than the 620 modular version.

If I were you, I would spend a tad less on the case, and spend a bit more on the motherboard.
You have less upgradability RAM-wise with that motherboard due to it only having 4 RAM slots, Which imo is a tad stupid...4 RAM slots when people are going to be using 3 sticks at a time? : /

Good luck with the build and I'm expecting pictures! :D

You know what, a lot of people have told me to spend less on the case....
As for mobo, i'll look into others, what can you suggest buddy?!
