Cornwall Gets Nasty Over Devon's Pasty Prize

A row has erupted in the south west after a pie maker in Devon was given the prize for Britain's best Cornish pasty.
The decision prompted anger among bakers in Cornwall, who said that firms from the neighbouring county should be barred from entering the competition.
An appeal to disqualify the winners, Chunk of Devon, failed. Some Cornish bakers are now threatening to boycott next year's ceremony.

When I was living Devon they had the best pasties I've ever tasted, although I did have a sexy one in Bude once

but for everything else Cornwall > Devon

The last family reunion I went to was a freinds, there was uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Nephews & Neices, Grandma's and Granddad's...

Ye, tbh, there is a PHAT pasty shop in Bude, which btw is still Cornwall lol. Never had as much filling in a pasty as one of theirs, and that is how it should be.

Oggys do some alrite pasties, nothign to rave about though. Hard to find a proper good pastie now tbh

Can't remember the name of the shop, but we had one in Tintagel that sells them in Bude as well and my god it was nice.

Typical ****** round here, arguing over pathetic things like this. Last summer the main headline on the news was some blokes arguing about whether jam or cream is put on a scone first. It lasted a good 10 minutes, but I just couldn't stop laughing. Old men with funny accents arguing over petty things = funny.

Lol my missus's uncle in Torrington owns a bakery.

He was telling us that some women is going to pay them to try and make the worlds biggest scone and take it to London lol.

I mean....only in Devon!
