Been trying to find a good TV show for a while now, but i keep going back to ones i've already watched.

T:SCC was good, but the story kind of went off track, acting went weird and didn't enjoy it any more.

Never been into Lost or Heroes, far far too American for me.

Used to enjoy CSI Las Vagas, but i miss Grissom, he made that show and the crimes always seem like small ones, no on going story mixed in with the normal shows.

Fringe was amazingly boring, same story, every episode, poor acting.

Shield and Wire, Shield was good until it became all about the bald guy and the wire become really really boring in season 2 and stopped watching.

No decent Sci-Fi since Battlestar left our screens and tbh that died when they changed from combat to stupid religion rubbish.

No star trek shows :(

Is there anything left?

There's a new Stargate coming but no idea whether it'll be good or not.

I do agree with you that there are very few good shows out there for all the hours of tv shown every day though I do watch Lost and Fringe.

I think TV is going through a bit of a transition at the moment because of the move towards on-demand services and unfortunately the shows which are most affected by this are sci-fi shows as the viewership for the genre tend to be tech savvy. This, coupled with the fact that sci-fi shows are very expensive to produce (I remember Enterprise was costing in the region of $300,000 per episode or something stupid like that before it was cancelled in 2005) means that networks are reluctant to go with anything too adventurous or mould-breaking, especially when they can get some idiots to embarass themselves live for a fraction of the cost.

I heard about that, isn't it something along the lines of a Stargate version of Voyager?

Yeah i agree with you here, there seems to be more focus on reality and fluff to fill out the times then something concrete to fill out the times. I wonder if the lack of good TV shows is also down to pirating, downloading shows not watching them on the TV.

Go back to Lost and try again, Seasons 2 and 3 slowed down a bit and people stopped watching. But they've definitely been picking up pace ever since and it's been much better for it.

Same with The Wire as well, go back and watch Season 2, Season 3 goes back into the "hood" and is probably my favourite season of them all.

Watch Breaking bad its gotta be one of the best acted and best scripted shows around atm highly recommend seeing it.

Something similar, they get stuck in a different galaxy on a ship they can't control with no way home. Will wait and see what it's like but I don't hold out much hope, Stargate has been going progressively downhill since season 7 of SG-1.

I think perhaps the next big sci-fi show will be a show distributed solely on the web, much like how Sanctuary started off but we probably won't see that for a while yet.

The Unit, Numb3rs, House and The Border are probably the best shows on atm

But yer, we are definitely missing a good Sci-Fi series :( Hopefully new Stargate will deliver!

fringe, 24, supernatural, deadliest catch and lost are what i'm still watching at the moment, Eureka is back on soon also during summer months

There are tonnes of good tv shows. Im really enjoying 24, Chuck, Lost, How I Met your Mother, the Big Bang Theory and Dollhouse at the moment

trailer park boys and the wire are all i watch at moment. tpb i could watch a million times. characters are all just amazing

Numb3rs - Started well, but is now awful cheesy American rubbish
The Mentalist - Not too bad, worried it may go the same way as Numb3rs
House - It's Jumped the Shark.
Doll House - Quite entertaining if as believable as Buffy.
To be honest, the only thing I really enjoy on TV these days is Family Guy. There are no really good Sci fi programmes like there used to be back in 90's. Lost is OK and getting better now they seem back to the original storyline.
