The Samsung OmniaHD i8910 ... this NEEDS it's own thread.

Me 3, just praying I can get a decent web package with whichever service provider will be supplying them.
 
I wish it would come out on o2 but alas it would be a direct competitor to their iphone sales so doubt it somewhat. We can dream tho!
 
Oh god... just imagine if someone brought out an iPhone emulator for symbian which let you run and install and run iPhone apps. National Rail = tramdroid = sex wee. :D

Shame about the daylight visibility issues with the OLED as I was expecting much better... but then again it's nothing new or different, and my 5800 is equally unreadable. At least the overall quallity is superb though.

All-told the phone looks good... I just personally think a 3.5" version with keyboard would be an awesome improvement.
 
I thought the screen is 3.7", why would the screen .2" less be better?

I'm surprised the oled is unreadable in the sun.
I wouldve thought oled wouldve banished that - IMO the only thing that blights it. :/ and sad face :(.

The illegibility in the sun is probably when the sun is directly overhead. I have the dsi and that's the same but when the suns not directly overhead then it's fine.

Are you getting the omnia hd richdog?
 
My sister just came with a booklet from Orange shop and they have this phone listed...

97.50 quid for the handset then 39.15+pm contract.

Not gonna be spending that much myself!
 
Was quite interested in this until I watched some of the videos. The interface for videos, photos and messages looks pretty painful to use compared to the iPhone.

It's Symbian... I can't understand why this is still a surprise to anyone. The iPhone has the best interface bar none, we all know this. Only difference is that hardware-wise and what you can actually DO with it, it's about 3 years behind the Samsung.

This looks good my contract is over soon so i might try and get this. I was looking at the n97, but the screen on this looks amazing. And i'm willing to bet the iphone 3 is going to cost a kidney.

them plans are, according to the booklet 1200 minutes, 500 txts, unlimited internet, and the option to choose dolphin racoon or panther plans which are unlimited texts calls or email on blackberrys*

With this phone being one tempting option, and the other being the Diamond 2, i dont think I can justify the difference.

This would cost me 830 quid over 18 months with orange.

The HTC would be 566.

This is my first step back into fancy phones in years.
