MMORG's

Champions online looks quite good, I also think there is a marvel one in the works somewhere. there's also some kind of crime one too, though i don't know what it's called. lol at Huxley - that was the imminent planetside killer back in the day and it's still not out. i play LOTRO atm, though that is starting to bore me now, otherwise i recommend 8 and 9 ball pool on miniclip.

I would keep an eye on Darkfall Online, while it isn't perfect at the moment it is very much a hardcore game and there are some bugs that need fixing.

I've lasted longer here than I did in AoC and War, it has great potential, but new players should wait for a month or two.

I've heard a lot of good things about Vanguard PVE wise.

Mortal Online (still in alpha, but beta signup is up).

Graphically I'm not sure, but the team behind it are Ultima Online fanatics and are essentially trying to take the best elements from it.

Was thinking of Conan, im just downloading the tiral now, might give LOTR a try also.. dont know if ill be too keen on starttrek.

Whats Guild wars like ?

I didn't enjoy Guild Wars, I think it was because everything was instanced but the combat was good.

Age of Conan is fine until level 40 then you get bored of the grind, I'd try Vanguard if you like PvE or Lotro, PVP you'd better to be suited with Warhammer online.

WoW and City Of Heroes are the ones I keep going back to, on and off for the past three years. CoH is great if you like creating lots of alts, not so good if you prefer sticking with one character 'cause there isn't much of an end-game. I tried Warhammer Online but honestly it got boring, it's just like WoW battlegrounds 24/7. I played the Lord of the Rings trial and that was pretty cool though, might try that again one day. As for Guild Wars, there was just too much instancing. I prefer more social games.

I'm looking forward to Champions Online right now.

Agree with Sinny, to be honest out of the recent crop of MMORPGs there hasn't been any that really stand out. Warhammer was a good try, but far too like a watered down WoW. Lotro looks great but personally I think it lacks the PvP side and PvE isn't as fun as it could be.

guild wars is cheap as chips and worth a go

3 chapters and eye of north expansion
1 chapter is the best the 3rd then 2nd , expansion working with any chapter

EQ2 is pretty good. Loads of content to get through and if you get someone to recruit you as a friend you get a 200% xp bonus while grouped with em. The game only costs £12 (the game + all expansions and adventure packs) so its not exactly expensive :D

I tried EQ2 about a year after it came out and it didnt interest me in the slightest, but they made loads of changes and its a much nicer game to play then it was.Been playing it for 4 months now.

One tip though if you decide to play EQ2: Get into a high level guild(Will be easy as people are always recruiting), this will help massively with how much enjoyment you get out of the game.

Wow, I didn't realise EQ2 was that cheap now. I'll have to give it a shot. Are the servers still fairly populated?

Have they brought out the new char models yet in eq2? Saying it be easier to make lots of different looking armour because it to hard atm because of all the different body shapes

They been banging about it for years now.
