I was just outside in my garden right now having a cigerette. It's a very clear night outside and I could see lots of stars. A plane was flying over and I was watching that. Then I noticed one of the stars started moving, flying in a straight line at a speed similar to the plane, though in a different direction. It's hard to estimate the speed because it loked *a lot* further away than the plane. It couldn't have been a shooting star because it was moving to slow. After about two minutes the UFO quicky disapeared into the blackness of the sky. I couldn't tell what shape it was because like I said it was very far away, it looked just like a star in the sky.

It was an amzing thing to watch :)

Are you sure it wasnt another plane higher up or a shooting star?

No way it could have been a plane because it was far, far to high up. I see planes all the time why I live and I can safely say this wasn't a plane. No flashing lights and no trials after it for a start.

EDIT :: Not a shooting star either because at first the ufo was stationary and looked just like another star. It then started moving and far to slow to have been a shooting star.

One of the most amazing things i saw was walking back from work i saw a tiny white spec travelling through the sky extrmeely fast. I thought 'woah a moving object in the sky whic isnt a plane' as you do....next thing it sparks up ! With a little flash of light i even heard it set alight (sorta sounded like a large match being struck extremly fast)! Then it shot through the sky like a comet (which is what it was i guess) then burnt up. Was just amazing actually watching a comet right from the start to it burning out!

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here, you saw a UFO, no-one (unless someone here is a member of NASA or any 'secret' space organisation) here will know what it is. But it does sound like something coming into the upper atmosphere and burning up, a meteorite or debris.

Magick, a question, you say that it was a clear night and that you could see a lot of stars in the sky... you then go on to say that it could not have been a shooting star due to the fact it appeared stationary at first.

This means out of all the stars in the sky, whilst this was stationary and looking just like any of the other stars in the sky you happened to notice this particular one not moving, just before it reveals itself to be a "UFO"?

SHENANIGANS!

Also why do my speakers always get an absolutley insane amount of interference at around 11pm every night! SO ANNOYING! i always have to go from surround sound to just some medium quality headphones
