Well it'd be decent as long as they don't take the retarded route of just giving the Mechs big glowing "energy swords" and basically just re-skinning WoW.

Mafia II and Dragon Age, mainly. And Football Manager 4172: Universe Cup edition.

Stating the obvious, but, all these games with sequels had to start with an original game, companies had original ideas at some point. Gaming should have a refresh to make things interesting - after any planned sequels currently in development are released no more allowed for the following 5 years!

I was going to say the return of decent Star Wars games something we haven't really scene since X-Wing and the like with a brief return to form the KOTOR.
 
i'd like a revival of the fmv adventure genre. the perfect game would use high definition video footage, have good object manipulation puzzle like gabriel knight 2, branching plot paths depending on what you did and what decisions you made like tex murphy,the pandora directive. and the blood and guts of the phantasmagoria series!
 
Piracy to go away and sales to increase then the publishers would actually have a reason to make PC specific games again.

Until then you can look forward to even more broken & buggy console ports. You can count on 1 hand the number of specific PC games in development.
 
Mass Effect 2 (hopefully with better side-quests)
Mechwarrior 5 (this would PWN!)
Spiritual successor to Psychonauts
System Shock 3 / Deus Ex 3 (actually being like their forefathers)
 
I'm looking/waiting for the next generation MMO that takes place in space and has planets you can actually land on with no "loading" and avatars to walk around places.

Actually controlling the ship but that would mean every subscriber would need a joystick..well, I guess you can use a mouse.

But also an FPS when you land! (or rpg style 3rd person).
So you better your character and your ship/station/3rd moon that you bought off your cousins friend of a friend.

It would be very complex to do, but I'm sure they will do it.

I want to be excited about something really new - I don't mean a whole new genre, but I don't want a sequel to anything unless it's truley going to be spectacular (high hopes for HL2 Ep3).

I don't know. I just don't feel like there's much to look forward to at the moment, so am digging for ideas.

You go on to say that you want something new. Not CoD:LetsDoItAgainSomewhereElse and go on to say your waiting for HL:EP3 :p

Spore was the last thing that I was hoping to be new and different but that just sucked.

So BF3 for me.
