wow, i feel lucky to be where i am now
those photographs are pretty amazing, despite being of something sad

Some great pictures but on a depressing subject. Don't think these have been posted before: http://www.zoriah.net/blog/2009/04/guest-photographerphotojournalist-gmb-akash-child-labor.html

Really suprised at the state of 8 year old Munna's hands.

Does that mean you are going to stop buying cheap clothes and accessories from the middle/far East?

Edit: Aged 17, so about 8 years ago, I wrote an essay for school on child labour. I was the only one who managed to write about its upsides. I think I did it so that I didn't have to feel guilty about owning clothes, shoes and goods most likely made by them.

To think ...... we pay some little scrotes, just to go to school for a week, the equivalent of 4 months wages for these kids, ......

In short, no I won't. It's amazing how many products are from these countries. I know some of my clothing aren't from these countries but i'm sure others are.

If they were not earning a living then what else would they do??

Go to school? Not cripple themselves before they reach 25.

Makes me so mad that western consumers are apparently happy for this to go on as long as they can buy cheap clothes etc.
