Jimmy Carter, US President from 1976 to 1980, promised while on the campaign trail that he would make public all documents on UFOs if elected. He said: "I don't laugh at people any more when they say they've seen UFOs. I've seen one myself."
General Douglas MacArthur, the Korean and Second World War soldier, said in 1955 that "the next war will be an interplanetary war. The nations of the earth must someday make a common front against attack by people from other planets. The politics of the future will be cosmic, or interplanetary".
J Edgar Hoover, head of the FBI from its inception in 1935 to 1972, said of a famous incident when flying saucers were allegedly fired at over Los Angeles in 1942: "We must insist upon full access to disks recovered. For instance, in the LA case the Army grabbed it and would not let us have it for cursory examination."
Monsignor Corrado Balducci, a Vatican theologian, said: "Extraterrestrial contact is a real phenomenon. The Vatican is receiving much information about extraterrestrials and their contacts with humans from its embassies in various countries, such as Mexico, Chile and Venezuela."
Professor Stephen Hawking: "Of course it is possible that UFO's really do contain aliens as many people believe, and the Government is hushing it up."
Dr. Herman Oberth, a Nazi rocket engineer who was taken to the US after the war and became one of the fathers of modern spaceflight, said: "It is my thesis that flying saucers are real and that they are spaceships from another solar system. There is no doubt in my mind that these objects are interplanetary craft of some sort. I and my colleagues are confident that they do not originate in our solar system."
Dr J Allen Hynek, director of the US Air Force's Project Blue Book investigation into UFOs, said: "When the long-awaited solution to the UFO problem comes, I believe that it will prove to be not merely the next small step in the march of science, but a mighty and totally unexpected quantum leap... we had a job to do, whether right or wrong, to keep the public from getting excited."
Air Chief Marshal Lord Dowding, commander of RAF Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain: "I am convinced that these objects do exist and that they are not manufactured by any nations on earth."
Ronald Reagan, US President from 1980 to 1988, "I looked out the window and saw this white light. It was zigzagging around. I went up to the pilot and said, 'Have you ever seen anything like that?' He was shocked and he said, 'nope.' And I said to him: 'Let's follow it!' We followed it for several minutes. It was a bright white light. We followed it to Bakersfield, and all of a sudden to our utter amazement it went straight up into the heavens. When I got off the plane I told Nancy all about it."
Mikhail Gorbachev, the USSR's last head of state: "The phenomenon of UFOs does exist, and it must be treated seriously."
Richard Nixon, US President from 1969 to 1974: "I'm not at liberty to discuss the government's knowledge of extraterrestrial UFO's at this time. I am still personally being briefed on the subject."
Dr. Walther Riedel, research director at the Nazi rocket research establishement at Peenemunde: "I am completely convinced that UFOs have an out-of-world basis."

Well with all the recent buzz around UFO's and there constant appearance in news papers, whether it be the Sun or the Telegraph, is disclosure imminent? Or is this just a burst of interest that will die down?

Erm, what Professor Stephen Hawking says there is that it's possible, not that he believes. I'm not even going to verify the others.

I (and several others) keep saying this, and certain people seem to keep ignoring it. Frankly I'm getting bored of posting it.

UFOs are real. Unquestionable fact. 100% proven.

Are there aliens inside? Who knows. Pretty unlikely I'd say (and extremely unlikely in 90%+ of cases). If we knew the answer to this question, they wouldn't be UFOs now, would they?

Let's get some facts straight please. If you mean alien invasion fleets, say so. UFOs are unidentified flying objects, and nothing more.

Edit - two of your quotes mention ET, so I'll give you credit for those. The rest could just as well be Concorde.

The list of famous people who believe in a God is waaaaaaaay bigger.
Just because you're famous it doesn't mean that you've got all your marbles.

I'm not saying anything, just asking what people think about the topic.

Well, in that case, I know UFOs exist. I don't know what they are. Aliens? I doubt it - they must have more important things to do than insert probes into (mostly) crazy people. :)

I think that full disclosure will never come because I don't believe the Government of any nation has the answers. I do however believe they take a greater interest in the subject than they let on to us.

Interesting number of leaders/presidents and ex leaders/presidents on that list. To me that would imply if there really was anything properly alien they would have disclosed it, or shut up about it and not spoken about "experiences". They also seem to be saying they have no evidence to back it up, which backs up the idea that aliens aren't in contact with governments/ governments have as much of a clue about "UFOs" as the general public.

It's also amazing how misquoting people can give good evidence, I would like to see the quotes in their original context before commenting on a lot of them.

I suspect you're right. Quite a few of them will likely be of military origin, and if they don't at least know about those then there's something very wrong with our infrastructure. It's also unlikely they would give away much about anything military in the interests of "national security".

Full disclosure? Not on your life. See above.

Ufo's exist. But there is zero evedonce they are aliens. However many sightings are knowen to be secret aircraft. Such as the stealth planes years ago. It has also been confirmef some are naturall phanomina. Lile in australia, where there is a high way either side of a mountain range, it just happens that at certain times the local conditions can reflect heaflights over the range. As the traffic is going the same speed. It appears you are being followed by et. That was in new scientist about 10years ago. But i cant find the artic(e on line.

there is a(so ball light theory. What is more likely, alien aircraft vause earthquakes, or earthquakes cause some sort off electrical/light ball.

Many people who claim to be abducted exhibit all the signs of sleep paralysis.

Such as the stealth planes years ago.

I watched a documentary about how Russia discovered it.
Because of lots of UFO activity the Russian government ordered every soldier to monitor the skies over a certain period and that is when the Stealth was finally confirmed (to them).

alien's are humans who have traveled back in time because they are trying to repair there DNA, thats why they do all the experiments on cows who share a lot of DNA with humans just like pretty much everything on the planet shares a lot of our DNA.

they dont want to experiement with humans in case they change the timeline to much.

it all happened because of the red knecks having sex with space cows which had unforseen consequences!

Of the quotes there Stephen Hawking's says nothing more than aliens could exist as has been pointed out and Mikhail Gorbachev was madder than a box of frogs.

Berserker is correct UFOs do exist, it's whether there is anything extraterrestrial in them that would be more interesting and so far I've seen no evidence that is compelling for that, 11 famous people who may or may not have believed doesn't change that for me.

If I seen an animal in the sky flying I could not recognize, that's a UFO.

Do aliens exist? I think it's 50/50, if we are here, other civilizations must be, if not, then we are sort of... a freak of nature.

loads of airline pilots , military generals (inc ones from the US) and many astronauts claim to have witnessed UFO's which i would imagine are a lot more credible than any president/famous person
