Just wondering, my ex is about to have our child in the next month or so, im 19, shes 24.

we are in no means talking terms, so just say we went to court or whatever, what would i have to pay for the upbrining of my child if i am in full time education.? Of course i will be seeing my child on a regular basis, but just wondering what i would have to pay her.?

any help would be much appreciated.

i thought you had to wait till the child was born.?
would deffinently get one before handy any money over.
and i really dont want to tell my parents just incase it ends out not mine then there was a big fuss for nothing

Better telling them - just incase, if nothing else. I was under the impression paternity tests weren't cheap, perhaps they can help with costs etc with you being a student?

prenatal paternity tests arnt cheap...

neither is beeing a father which is all he cares about, not mature or responsible enough to have sex.

he probably isnt on speaking terms with the mother because he found out she was pregant and thought he was best of out of it.

hasnt told his parents because hes hiding....

MAN UP FFS! im suprised everyone seems to be on your side

Of course it's not ideal but in his situation it seems like a good idea, he's pretty limited for choices..

I know one guy who was ordered to pay 30% of his income and this is omeone who stacks shelves at tescos so he's not earning much to begin with.

It depends on the number of kids, it's 15%, 25% and 30% iirc.

No one's taking sides, it's about taking the most logical course of action, finding out if he is the father would be the first thing to do before telling the parents imo.
