As I am a pedant, I am curious.. what criteria are we using to discern the most successful club in England? Are we talking ever, or just this season?

Just curious at what criteria you are using to make Liverpool the second most successful team

Manchester United, 18 Leauge titles, joint with Liverpool.
Manchester United, 11 FA Cup wins.
Liverpool, 7 League Cup wins.
Manchester United, 17 Charity Shield Wins.

The most sucessful English club, since 1871-present is Liverpool with 58 trophies, Manchester United second with 56.

If Manchester United win the Champions League final, they will be on 57, one behind.

Manchester United are the most succesful English domestic club. Liverpool are better, more succesful on the European side.

Seriously its banter and nothing more. A bit like when Rotty used to have it in his sig about it taking us so many years to emulate Nottingham Forest in Europe. I took it on the chin

But if that famous scouse witt and sense of humour is nowhere to be found in this thread. You should be honoured I hold you lot in such high esteem I would make a thread about your club and your club alone.

I would say to the mods close the thread if it causes offence but to be honest balls to it. As I say it's banter.

No worries, as I say I am a pedant (as well as having a background in Maths and Statistics), its a nasty combination and one which makes me prone to like dealing in facts rather than fiction. My apologies if I came over as being overly anal, but its my character :)
