So I found this video before:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VSOpeYqgSI&feature=related

This is my definition of a great goal, a well worked team goal, not some hit and hope from 25 yards.

So...who's got any more good team goals? :D

PS- Bit of random thread I know, but I need to see some good goals at the moment. :(

Might I add as well, despite the thread title and the Youtube title, I don't think this was the best goal ever. :p

That goal was simply superb. You just can't beat that. Even the Brazilians from the 70's would be amazed at that :p

Alright so its not a goal as such, but this is one of my favourite ever bits of sporting footage and I think it counts as a great team score.

2 or 3 of the passes in the OP's vid were lucky to get to their teammate, argentina goal was class.

Who needs a team when you can do that......

All goals posted are great but you play for a team so a goal is a team effort = pedantic

First goal I thoght of was Cambiasso for the Argies. You just can't argue it.

I thought of that but after seeing it was slow and boring, it was a meaningless game, after seeing it live and watching it again its meh

They just pass it back and get set up and Serbia let them, I count 8 passes back before the goal.

It was a well worked goal but nothing speical, any decent team will play back and push forward and attack at the right time.

Look at the AM twice they got in on Serbia DM position, ball watching, great goal but its not the best

"team goal"

The Argentina play brilliant build up before that goal, they pass and make space very well.
When they "decide" to attack, they pass and move through the opposing team like a hot knife through butter.

I don't think it has anything to do with 8 back passes cheets, they keep possesion and just wait until they see a move.
If it's "nothing special" why don't more teams do 43 passes before goals ?
"meaningless" you're playing on an international stage, even if you're not going to win the World Cup you have your country's pride at steak. I don't think it was a meaningless game.
Argentina, slowed the game down to suit them, like Italy do.

It was something like 43 passes in the build up to that goal. A great goal, one of the greatest goals scored, probably the best team effort.

Not the best by a long shot, nor arguablely a 'team' goal, but this always seems to stick in my mind:

C'mon guys less arguing more videos!

We've only had five videos, one not even a team goal and one a rugby match! :p

Edit: Personally I don't like the Argie goal that much, the build up is too slow as cheets said, still a top goal though.
