WTCC: World Touring Crash Championship

WTCC really needs more cars, BMW, Seat, Lada and Chevy ...

No really, because there are pleanty of them, and atleast it means they are close. Yes, there are 5 BMWs and 5 Seats factory run, with a futher 3 Chevys and 3 Ladas, but then theres a good 10 or 12 privateers to. The racing is always good fun to watch, so no, I dont agree. It would be nice to see more manufacturers, but not needed.

Crikey, gutted I missed that, don't have sky in my flat and this isn't available on freeview is it?

Just watched the BTCC, was pretty good too.

there was some pretty good racing across the board today....have to say that the safety car incident was an appalling and could have been far worse if it wasn't for the bmw drivers quick thinking, other then that the wtcc was great to watch as usual.

Also the BTCC and support races were all great as well today, some good battles going on throughout the field and the weather really making thing more then interesting...

has been a great season thus far!

Dont really think its the safety car drivers fault, well bit silly to go slow on the corner but its the race directors and pit lane marshalls fault he tells him when to go out, those cars should have been slowed down ages before the safety car is allowed out.

The rules in WTCC allow drivers to race to the line when the SC is deployed, and the 2 guys up front were close and fighting for the lead, so it was well within their rights to race at full speed to the line, and then slow after it when they are no longer allowed to overtake. The start finish line was no more than 100 meters before the crash, around a blind bend, and at no point should the driver have had to expect a nearly stationary safety car to be on the racing line. It was entirely the safety car drivers fault.

Ah ok didnt realise rules were different, bit silly though lol, always seems much safer the way bike races do when I have marshalled for races.

I watched most of the WTCC coverage on Eurosport, very entertaining racing I thought. Pau is a great track.

Brilliant bit of two and fro in the second race with Priaulx and Huff. Someone at race control should be in trouble over the safety car incident.
