My boss has asked me if I can make these changes. I'd say I'm an intermediate photoshopper, but I've never really done anything like this before. Any tips would be appreciated:

Edit: Didn't think of posting this to the photography forums. Please feel free to move the topic, mods.

Tip: Use the Clone Stamp tool to add some more pipes (easy)

Tip2: If you have CS4 you can create a text layer, then change it to a "3D postcard from layer" and fiddle with it until it fits the place you want (depends on the version)

Tip3: You don't need the 4th leg as that would fudge the perspective. (moot point)

Tip4: Get this moved in to the Photography forums :p

I havent used photoshop in a while but you'd have to take out layers of the image and put them back on top of each other, hard to explain in text but it looks like you've got a time consuming task on your hands.

I thought about using the clone stamp on the sides, but I have a feeling that could get extremely messy very quickly owing to my poor skills.

Good tip about the text.

I know what you mean about the 4th leg. I haven't actually discussed it with him - just found the pic on my desk, so perhaps there's a rationale behind it.

Oops, yeah. It should probably be moved.

Whats the name of the platform you want an image of, odds are we have one someplace.

It's a Melrose-Petreco platform named Ana near Bulgaria, I think. I could ask for more specifics when the boss returns from lunch. It would look a lot better/be a lot simpler just to have a photo of the real thing!

Now to go on internet for a ocuople of hours with photoshop on alt tab ready, then show him your stunning work :)

Haha. He told me I can bring my laptop in to work tomorrow so I could work on it (I don't have photoshop here) so I guess I'll try and improve on asim18's good work.

First got rid of all the letters except the two "A"s using the clone stamp tool.

Type an "N" in arial font.
Right click layer then "rasterize".
Then CTRL+T to enter transform mode.
Right click on pic and choose "Perspective", and adjust accordingly.
Right click on pic and choose "Scale" and adjust accordingly.
Then press enter on keyboard to save the transformation and exit transform mode.

Clever. Cheers. The more I think about it, the more I realise how little I know about photoshop.

I started but couldn't be arsed fixing all the railing around the 6 pipes.

Well, it's the thought that counts. It does look like it'd be a hassle, but hopefully I'll be able to find a solution. Thanks anyway.
