Just a quick onne really,

What are people fave ways of making gold?

Mine for last few months has been selling needle surge ring from Mally10 :) easy 7k gold. Or just grinding mining nodes and selling the gems.

Anyone got other things that sell really really well?
 
I used to play the AH. Late night/Early morning would always see some cheap stuff you could sell for more. When Runecloth was the thing for reputation, i had total market hold on both sides. I'd buy literally every piece of runecloth anyone put up and relist it for more. Made a killing! If you're the only person selling a ludicrously sought after item (even cloth), then people have no choice but to pay you for it :)

So many lazy people in WoW who can't be arsed to go grind their own cloth.

Other than daily quests, I farm crystalized elements and Relics of Ulduar in The Storm Peaks since a lot of people can't be bothered to grind for them. Usually along the way I pick up Book of Glyph Mastery that sells for about 300-500g on my server depending on the market at the time. Frost Lotus is also a good seller if you've got herbalism, about 50g each if not more due to the nerf in the drop rate and I pick up a few from The Storm Peaks grind.

I used to play the AH a bit, I don't bother any more. I've got more than enough gold so just do the odd daily to cover my raiding cost now.
 
Try using the auctionlite addon, it scans stuff and tells you if something is being sold cheeper then it was before. You can then buy it out and re-list it
 
At lvl 42 Priest, I've just started using the auction houses to sell tailored items at lower levels in Stormwind. Guaranteed that as everyone says, lazy peeps will want to buy instead of grind. The other thing I try is to sell unwanted green items at a reasonable price so that they do sell instead of getting binned (priests can only use cloth, daggers, staffs and wands :( ).
 
I just started playing again a week ago.

At level 15 I had 20g from playing the Auction House. I'm nearly hitting level 30 and need some proper cash now so I can afford to buy my mount but I cba :(

I normally try and hold of cheap Heavy Leather and sell it for profit.
 
Mate Mate Mate, you get a shed load more gold from levelling at this point. Infact you get bout 3000g just from questing 70-80. power on through and the benefits will be great
 
Go to AH.

Buy all mats of one type, eg Copper Ore.

Re-list it all at 200%.

People are too lazy to actually go mine some they buy it off you.

Works well with Ores and Herbs, as they only spawn on nodes and you have to run about a fair bit to farm a stack for yourself, so people don't bother. Don't try it with leather, its too easy to farm.

Never do it with Gems, they never sell, got loads of the damn things lying about my alts. And never be tempted to resell cheap Darkmoon cards, you just end up re-listing them ad-infinitum.

Leveling from 70-80 without buying ANYTHING only repairs will nab you anything up to 5k if you sell everything you get and then theres the DK which can get you even more if you follow the same routine.
 
wait wait wait, Iv just started back again a week ago (lvl 60) Am i right in thinking that just doing 70-80 quests and selling stuff i find will make me 5k gold?

So you dont have to do the epic grind for the epic flying mount anymore?
