Essien's had the aura of "Hit and hope" about it, or to me anyway.
Whereas Zidane knew exactly what he was going to do, and where it was going to end up as well.

I personally preferred Zidane's goal, I absolutely love both players so it's not a question of bias, I think that both goals are so good that it's mostly down to opinion, but some credit has to go to Zidane for the technique, it looked sooo much smoother than Essien's (did it hit Essien's shin?) and the height of the ball added to the occasion will have made that a lot harder in my opinion. As I said, I wouldn't argue with anybody for choosing Essien's, those are just my views!
