Bacon is my new favorite food!

God damn this thread and god damn work.

When I get home, I am making myself a Bacon and cheese monstrosity the likes of which has never been seen.
 
When I was in sixth form, me and a friend would go down to the local bakery at lunch and purchase a bacon baguette. One day, they ran out of the small baguettes, and we didn't want a large one cut in half because it would be too small. So we requested two bacon baguettes, each at least a foot long, and it was the largest bacon baguette the shop has ever made.

It took me forever to eat that thing, I was sweating with the effort required of me!

Dammit! I want bacon now :( Luckily it's nearly lunchtime, might nip out of work to the cob van down the road.
 
I think I have some form of bacon product at least once a day, wether it be in a sarnie, pasty, to compliment something, etc.

It is such an awesome meat, pigs are clearly winners when it comes to providing tastey goodness.

One thing I shall never forget, when I was at Uni, I had a housemate who had NEVER had bacon (he was a lad of British origin and no religious background). It was purely out of choice...because he thought it smelt bad and looked dodgy...

After a good year of persuading the FOOL to try it, he finally did and guess what - he was hooked. Since that day and meeting my current GF I try to be less picky with foods and remind myself that I could have been missing out on something awesome, just like my housemate missed out on bacon for 19 years!!!!!
 
Cajun chicken melt with bacon from Jakes in Plymouth. heaven.

It's all about adding smoked bacon (or lardons) to dishes like spag bol to enhance the flavour.
