MONACO Grand Prix 2009 - Race 6/17 Official GP Thread

Perfect for Jenson to have a ferrari recovery. Takes a few points off red bull. It could work out perfectly for him the way the cars behind him keep changing whose fastest.

Honest question - but considering Hamiltons never been in a poor car in F1 how do we know hes an excellent driver in context of your quote above? Conversely with JB the last time he did have an average car (last year of BAR and when he started with Williams) he was doing pretty good - not championship quality or as entertaining as Hamilton but he was getting podium finishes - to me that doesnt sound that average...

Last season Kubica was considered (with Vettel and Hamilton) as the next big thing to F1, yet this year is nowhere - is he average now?

Let me introduce you to the Mclaren 2009 edition...enough said :)

Prediction - Ferrari's running light?
Red Bulls running heavy.
Branws average fuel

Kimi with KERS off the line, JB will need to be VERY quick!

Hamilton to pull off some AWESOME overtaking moves and be in the top 10 within 5 laps.

Toyotas and BMWs may as well leave the sport. Would prefer independants, at least then people have some sympathy for the back runners eg Minardi, Force India etc etc

Nothing like a bit of blind fanboyism huh? :)

No chance of being up to speed to even get the KERS on, let alone have an advantage from it.

Based on KERS starts of 2009 I think my *blind* fanboyism isnt quite so blind :D

More than enough time for a KERS boost but time will tell. I am sure your boy LH will be using it to good effect from 16th :p

Confused if you are trying to reinforce my point as so far this year Hamiltons only been entertaining but far from actually winning or getting decent points...

So to surmise you agree hes just an average driver? ;)

I was actually talking about the Mclaren 2009 being a rubbish car...clearly trying to make you see the point I made earlier.

He is much more than just average, he beat Massa in a (superior) Ferrari to become WC.

In Type_Rs defence when any KERs enabled car has been near the pointy end the question of them getting into the lead by using KERS off the line has always been asked...

Much harder at Monaco considering how short the the straight to first corner is...

I know thats what you were attempting to say - lets just say you missed the mark by a big margin and leave it as that ;)

And having to rely on passing another car in difficult conditions on the last lap of the last race of the season to win it doesnt demonstrate anything more than luck than judgement :p
