TF2 Sniper Update

So far both Spy watches, have to say I'm torn between them both, Cloak an Dagger lets you be super sneaky an plan attacks. Dead Ringer means you can just run into gun fire to get behind them.. hmmm! Spy is now awesome.
 
I'm surprised how many people didn't have other class items, only Item I'm missing pre-patch is the Bonk drink but that's because I hate Scout.
 
not played tf2 for awhile but am i right in thinking that its down to the time played rather than the achievements earned for the new weapons now :confused: are there set times for each class then ??? sorry if its been answered :(

It's completely random from what I gather.

Has there been any confirmation that it's working as intended, or is it a bug?

24.6 hrs past 2 weeks (all post update)

1 unlock, that i already achieved a year ago.

Yeah, this system rocks.
 
already had most of the unlocks before this patch was just missing the boxing gloves and the medics last unlock.

In the first few mins i unlocked a spy watch and the jarate.

Personally its just aload of rubbish how people are complaining about unlocks when first off they never bother playing the class.

I've played 200+ hrs as Sniper and 100+ hrs as Spy before update, I've played maybe 20hrs since the update and not had any Sniper/Spy unlocks, it should be prioritised on how much playing time you've got with the class :p . I've got 3 - FaN (had before) and backburner & axetinguisher, but I never play Pyro so :s

You're not complaining about the unlocks because "In the first few mins i unlocked a spy watch and the jarate." That's the problem with this random system.
 
Well Valve seemed to listen to the forums and things and found that the milestones werent that popular, and that people just hacked there way to the weapons, so hopefully they will listen again and realise that the item drop and item trading idea is utterly retarded.
 
Sigh. Another guy AFK in the spawn room get's the Huntsman.

This really is the single worst implementation to a game that i've seen. I just don't see what the problem was with the old system. Everybody could still get the unlocks. How hard is it to shoot someone off a cliff? or headshot ten snipers? or get 2004 kills?

I think i'm done with TF2. I'm not going to waste any more time playing this "just in case" i get an unlock to make an average game a little bit more interesting for a few hours. I think after 25 hours, 38 achievements and several thousand kills i'm entitled to one but hey, i guess i'm only complaining cause i haven't recieved one yet. All those people with the nice new stuff can't see the issue here.
