Do people still play LOTRO?

Depends on what you are after, i am still playing with 3 lvl 60 alts and i lead weekly end game content of 12 people groups (aint done a 24 man one in a while).

You can get it dirt cheap at the moment, and probably a months trial or so.

PvP is not as strong as most other games, PvE is their main focus (apparently...)
 
different MMo, different style .. its more mature with a good community .. i advise you to search back a few pages as theres quite a few threads that can help you decide ..

lifetime sub to lotro here and still play daily.
 
If you like LOTR mythology and want a unique MMO experience then play Lotro. Once you are past the character creation bit head on over to the shire and just explore it and take in the sights. It's a gorgeous game.
 
the graphics are excellent and the gameplay is really good, also the people playing seem nice aswell (i got the 10 day trial but didn't want to pay monthly)

If you want mature gameplay with top notch graphics then lotro is for you.

I'm coming to the end of my 14-day trial and was wondering where the cheapest place is to buy the game + expansion from? It's a good game but I don't fancy shelling out £40 for it :p

It should also come with two 14 day free trial codes, if its the same package I got, same price atleast.

Not sure if you will be able to use them as youve already had used the free trial, unless you create a new account and don't upgrade your trial one. If not you can bring one or two friends with you for two weeks :)

Very well.

I run everything on "Very High" with 4x AA & AF - I do get a very slight bit of stuttering every 10 minutes or so but apparently a lot of people get the same problem, it only lasts for 1 or 2 seconds so it's no big deal :)
 
Just went down town and bought it earlier :) Was £15, but couldn't be bothered waiting on online delivery, its half-term anyway and I want to make the most of it.

Installing now :) Hopefully I can play with a few of you guys, if you'll excuse the 'noob' questions.
 
I played the trial but wasn't that impressed really, it's quite good but the lack of PvP and the graphics that just look like more toned up ones of runescape kind of put me off.
