So just flicking through some websites and videos of old games got me thinking what type of games/franchises would be nice to see again on the current gen.

Not talking about PSN/Live ports, I was thinking more along the lines of brand new takes on them. The obvious ones that spring to mind for me are:

Road Rash
Strike series
Streets of Rage
Ghouls N Gosts

So over to you, what would you revive if you had the power?

Gradius or R-Type - Even though Gradius V and R-Type Final were awesome on the PS2, how I would love to see some another but using HD graphics on the current generation consoles to really make them as flashy.

Strider - Awesome classic by Capcom and I would love to see a 3D incarnation of Strider Hiryu. Just hopefully Capcom themselves make the game and not let someone else handle it, like they did with Bionic Commando.

Streets of Rage
Going by how SEGA really botched Golden Axe by handing it over to a third party developer, I do not want to see this series get ruined as well. Shame how the Dreamcast could have got a new game in this franchise, but ended up being scrapped by SEGA's stupid U.S branch, and so ended up with the closest thing that was Zombie Revenge.

Shinobi
Zombies ate my Neighbours <-- This could be awesome
Altered Beast
Legacy of kain <-- not really old old, but i feel a remake of this would be awesome
System Shock

I would like to see Legacy of Kain actually finished before they remade it :p Stupid cliffhanger that will never actually be continued :(

I'd like to see Vandal Hearts re imagined with newer technology. The engine that runs valkyria chronicles would be perfect!

New Jet Set Radio

remake of Deus Ex for all the unfortunate souls who missed it before.

Now that would be epic, Jet Set Radio is probably the best game to come out on the dreamcast I must have played it over a dozen times.

Deserves a remake/sequel. Or atleast a HD remix onto XBLA/PSN.
