It pretty much looks like a PDA so how playing games on it will work I have no idea as I can't imagine it being comfy to hold over long periods of time. What ways will it be able to connect to live? I guessing Wifi is a given but it would be nice if there was a sim card slot so I could just put my mobile broad band sim in it and connect to live anywhere.

It seems its more of a rival to the ipod touch than PSP/DSi, no mention about any phone capability as yet. Seems like the xbox live stuff will be like the XBL on the PC, cue up downloads view info etc etc. I expect the gaming side will be XNA type games and some XBLA stuff maybe a bit like the app store. I did read that it wont be out in the UK and others saying it will be, but the Zune store will be (without music) find out more monday evening i guess.

Looks to me like MS have taken a different route to Sony in the handheld market. They seem to be designing it as a media playback device first, console second. While the PSP is capable of playing music etc i never bother as its just way too big and clunky. A device that is good as a media player and has the odd game sounds like a pretty intelligent design decision to me.

Sounds like the ipod touch to me :D

If it's has good as it sounds it'll blow the Ipod touch out the water.

Dont think its going to happen there have always been better spec machines than ipods but none have ever came close recently to ipod sales. Doesnt matter TBH as the Zune HD isnt coming out in the UK at present only the zune store less the music side. Looks a nice device but i cant see it being huge, with the new itouch/phone coming out in a month or so i cant see the Zune HD taken much of its market.

iPhone is highly regarded, software on them is awesome tbh, apart from lack of MMS lol but personally Blackberry >*

True, but then, the only games i've seen/played on the touch were rubbish :p

IGN regularly give games on the iPhone high scores. Games like peggle, NFS:U, Word Fu, Myst and lets not forget Tiger Woods are all excellent.
I haven't played the latest Tiger on the DS, but i dare say they are near enough the same, but Tiger on the iPhone cost 6 quid.
