Going to collect the new car.... :D

Got these in the glovebox?

You only get those in Rover 75s, my 1.8T came with half eaten pack in the glove box. Also the radio only tunes into Radio 4.

Lol, from my night drive I just came back from, I definitely don't need the Worthers. First time I've been able to open the taps properly, oh my god :D

Bet the 1.8T shifts the 75 pretty well though, they're 160bhp IIRC? Enough to give the chavs a beating!

Is the engine standard bar the DV Mat?

Fit a boost controller @ 12psi... it'll pull really well then :) :D

Don't listen to anyone who says run over 12psi. It's just not worth blowing the engine up for an extra 5-10bhp.

Haha cool, looks tidy. Probably being lazy not reading other threads for how much you paid but... how much was it hehe.

I want turbo power :(

Truly awesome power, depends if you can stump for the fuel though! :D

At least a car of that age doesn't get bummed for road tax like other 200bhp ones do, you can pick up a turbo Tomcat pretty cheap you know... ;)

It was £1250 :)

Lol, only do about 50 miles a week at the minute :p and that's only because my cars all new and I drive that instead of my gf's car lol. The odd long trip but meh.

I do keep looking at turbos but this has got to last me about a year. Then I'll move into full time work and no longer a student haha. Maybe then I'll have more money to spend at a car with backup for anything that goes wrong.

Mind you I'd be more tempted by an Impreza then :D Turbo Tomcat could be a logical in between step tho.

So what sort of power we talking with 12psi? Also what turbo does the T16 engine come with?

Nice buy, I'd take T16 off and make the car look totally stock to make it a bit of a sleeper.

i like it but seems a bit expensive. When i see any 600 i think they look pretty tidy for a 500quid motor.

Was a little bit above average, but the Ti is quite sought after among the owner's clubs, also this one has just had a rebuilt gearbox, gear linkage (common fault too) and a new exhaust system, as well as new tyres, brakes etc.

Worth paying the bit extra IMO, and when you hit the loud pedal it isn't hard to see the appeal! :D

@Vonsteve, I strongly recommend you take a look at the ti, it's basically a silly fast car that costs the same as a stardard car to run, I'm even impressed with the economy tbh

Straight 200 pretty much.

Comes with a Garrett T25.

No extra power really Dan.

You do get another 30lb/ft of torque though, which as Karl said will bring you to around 200bhp and 200lb/ft.

Do you by anychance know which trim the T25 comes in? Or do you know wether there are any compressor maps available?

agw_01,

Ahh so 12psi is the stock boost then :) Just allowing it to gain boost quicker I guess.

Dan, just looked at my old T25 (yes, I kept it  ) and it has A/R28 M72 on the compressor housing.

Stock boost is 11.7 which is modulated across the rev range. The boost controller allows the actuator to open as soon as the turbo can supply boost, which on the T25 is around 2500rpm.

Gives a nice shove compared to the smooth power delivery of a standard car.

They don't go badly, and I'm sure it's considerably quicker than your old oil burner but in no way is it silly fast.
