The Electronic Entertainment Expo 2009

Soz was talking about the MS avatar clothing thing - soz...

ps3ud0

Well unlockable items sounds cool I wouldn't buy any clothing though.

The Old Republic will hopefulyl be epic as I'm really eager to play it more than anything.

This is what I fear :( Just look at the guy at the MS e3 conference that tried to show us the bottom of an avatars shoe :p That failed miserably :p

You called...

Microsoft announces Avatar Marketplace, unlockable apparel

http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/01/microsoft-announces-avatar-marketplace-unlockable-apparel/

Microsoft E3 2009 Blogger / Enthusiast Luncheon -- you know, this one -- Xbox Live General Manager Marc Whitten announced the Avatar Marketplace for the Xbox 360. The Avatar Marketplace, unsurprisingly, will allow 360 owners to download new apparel for their Avatars. Players will be able to browse game specific storefronts. Yes, storefronts, so don't expect all the apparel to be free.

In addition, Whitten also announced Avatar Awardables. Awardables, as their name implies, are articles of clothing that can be awarded by Xbox 360 games for completing certain tasks. "I think you're going to see a ton of new content that comes from that," said Whitten. The apparel won't be limited to things like shirts and shoes either, as the ODST Avatar above illustrates, it's conceivable we could see little Alan Wakes and Raidens running all over Xbox Live soon.

Whitten didn't announce any release date for Awardables or the Avatar Marketplace, but given the ODST apparel, we'd say Fall 2009 is a good bet.

When avatars came out I said this would happen. Some unlocked like achievements and the very bets will be sold. I fully expected Cog outfits etc and football kits.

OH MY GOD!

SCREW ALAN WAKE AND KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC!

All these years I have wasted with games consoles, thinking developers were putting lots of effort into games, but now ive seen the light.

What more could you want from a video games console than to stand infront of a camera and paint a picture?!

By by video games!

If MS are really catering for all types of gamers, why dont they just have an option to turn complicated accounts off and as soon as the disk fgoes in just to play the game?

Someone posted this damage control on a metal gear solid forum, can't tell if it's serious or not :p

So Microsoft win for showing

A crappy new spinoff Metal Gear game featuring that ****** Raiden in a hash n slash Ninja Gaiden rip off?

A glorified Eye Toy. Sony did this 10 years ago.

A bunch of content I can get on my PC (Facebook, Last FM, Netflix, Zune)

Alan Wake which just looks like Remedies cheap attempt to make a new Max Payne.

Halo 3 expansion. No one cares for Gaylo, it's so 2002. Halo 3 sucked anyway.

COD4 which is multiplatform.

Just wait for Sony's.

MAG - The most promising online shooter in development, 256 players!

God of War 3. Better than the gay fake GoW on XBOX.

Gran Turismo 5 - Forza looks **** compared to this, cheap ****** GT wannabe.

New PSP.....MS are so **** they can't even make a handheld console and I heard the new PSP will be able to render PS3 graphics and play Blu Ray movies ripped onto a memory stick.

Metal Gear Solid 5 - The next true MGS game. And it's exclusive to PS3.

MGS PSP - To fill the story of Big Boss and to show that he was not a bad guy.

Heavy Rain - Looks amazing.

DriVer - Who cares about GTA 4 episodes? Driver 5 is gonna kill GTA all over and is Sony exclusive.

Playstation 4 unveiling, it's gonna be 10x more powerful than PS3 and 20x more powerful than XBOX 360, or so I heard off a mate.

Microsoft have won ****.
